Following your passions can greatly help you in gaining admittance to colleges. Get organized, don't rely on only your high school counselor . You have to do research yourself like scholarships. I remmber when preparing for college the best thing I did was to make lists of things that I needed to do and prioritize them. Making lists helped me to become more organized and efficient. Helping other like community service or volunteer at hospital is an excellent thing to do.

If I could go back in time I would encourage myself a bit more, and not let the small bumps in the road bring me down or make me lose hope of finishing school. I've been lucky to have had very supportive teachers & peers to encourage me to pursue my education. I've learned a lot throughout the process of getting on my feet and learning how to be independant; I've made some mistakes along the way but I've learned from those mistakes and applied the lessons into my life and I'm making many improvements. I would like to win a scholorship because I believe I've earned something positive. I currently have a 4.0 gpa and I've worked very hard for my grades and made great progress with school the past couple months.

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would give myself plenty of advice, because truly I never got It, which is why im in the situation I am in today, without any scholarship or help from grants or anthing, working full time as a caregiver and going to college, which is very stressful. I would advice myself to sign up for scholarships early through my senior year, look for loans and grants. I would also advice myself to start taking steps to look up the college I want to attend and the university that I would like to transfer to, to make my life a little easier and be able to plan to study full time instead of just part time, while haveing to work. I believe that my greatest advice would be to start signing up for universities to try to get entrance in them before time advances in front of my eyes. Last but not least, I would also advice myself before graduating that year to raise my GPA to a status where I can be accepted to any university, without the troubles of rejection.
