Individuals who are not determined to pursue a career and achieve their goals shouldn't attend this school. The school can be financially heavy, therefore, an student should be serious in pursuing their education.
If you dont want to expand your horizons mentally, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically; this isnt the place for you. It feels like being in a different country when you come to Hawaii. There is so much diversity here in EVERYTHING! Languages, food, nationalities, all kinds of things. For alot of people, coming to Hawaii is quite a way from home. Coming over here takes you out of your comfort zone and forces you to be independent. Chaminade University is a place that helps you grow and develop into the motivated young person that you want and need to be.
Chaminade University is a Catholic school and as such I believe that a person who is an Atheist would probably not want to attend.
The kind person that does not like variety, community, and small classes should not attend this school Chaminade University is well known for its variety of students, activities, classes, and teachers. People who are undriven, unmotivated, and dislike work and challenges will not bode well in this school. People who are not accepting of other people should not attend this school, reason being that this school boasts a wide variety of people all over the world, of race, ethinicity, background, and lifestyle. This school is for the ambitious, open minded, and well-rounded students.
A person who could care less about there education. Students who are not serious on there goals or lifetime goals. I believe students who had a certain kind of reputation during high school such as ditching classes, doing drugs, not getting good grades. Those students should not enroll and get accepted to not only waste there time but the schools and professors as well. It would be a loss for a person really wanting an education. Students who lack the money and test scores should not attend chaminade university.
Anyone who is looking for a typical party school should maybe try somewhere else, that culture is not big here.
It depends on the person. If someone likes the "city life", meaning like LA, NYC, or something within those lines, then Chaminade isnt for you. Chaminade is small and everyone knows everyone and it is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. People are very loving and welcoming. Some people like that its not too big and its not too small. Some like it because its a tropical island, and some people get bored, because theres not that much to do for night life if your not 21 or older. But if you have imagination, it can take you far.
A person who isn't open to new things or people that are differnt than themselves.
You shouldn't attend this school if you like skipping class, want a large class sizes, or are looking to biuld up a large academic or social network. Definitely not a party school, must stay focused and not get in trouble with any of the admin because they will not help you!
this school is great for a person that does not mind being far away from home. if you are looking for a small community of a school then chaminade is perfect.
