If you live on campus in one of the dorms without a kitchen (which all freshmen will be in) you are required to have a meal plan. You can choose to have a certain amount of meals per week, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18. You use them in the cafeteria, one meal, eat all you want. We have a bunch of different stations, pasta, pizza, asian, greek, american, eurostation, salad, soup, sandwich, bread and dessert. We have a variety of different drinks, sodas, teas, coffee, juices. You also have "panther bucks" which you can use on the on campus eateries, the smaller amount of meals you have per week the more pantherbucks you have. These are used at the places on campus, which include a sandwich place, a coffee and tea place, a Wings place, a bagel place(with lots of coffee options), and Jamba Juice. If you are a commuter you can also get a plan that is smaller if you desire.
I lived on campus for two years, and never had any problems with the food. I visited the cafeteria two times a day, and rarely walked away still hungry or with an upset stomach. The cafeteria has more options than anyone could ever ask for. If you're in the mood for pizza, burgers, cereal, chicken, pasta, Asian rice bowls, salad, or a sandwich, you are in luck. It was very rare for me or any of my friends to get bored of this food because there were so many amazing options. Now that I live off campus, I do not visit the cafeteria. However, there are still many food options. Jazzman's serves coffee, pastries, and snacks throughout the day. Our student union offers Einstein's Bagels, Jamba Juice, and chicken wings and sandwiches. Although this food is overpriced, it is very accessible to any hungry student spending the entire day on campus. Many food places are open until very late. Students can get wings in the student union, or grab a snack in the basement of one of the dorms. Don't worry, at Chapman, you will never go hungry. Just be careful about that Freshman 15!
