What are some hot-button issues on campus?

Hannah

Diversity is somewhat of an issue here. The cultural groups on campus feel outnumbered and looked over. They do not feel like they fit in as much. Anything you buy at Chapman is overpriced, but this is the same for any college campus. Clothing, books, food, coffee...sometimes it's just not worth it. The library is always way too busy during finals time. It's like people just discover it for the first time and flood to it for an entire two weeks. We wish Chapman had more space or other studying spots for students. This issue has been improved by the installation of the new student union.

Some issues on campus are stressing about registration. Although for the most part it works out once the semester comes it is always stressful. A huge issue is on-campus housing. The majority of freshmen are tripled and upperclassmen housing is really difficult to get into. Every Chapman Student wonders where all our money goes to, I'm sure it's somewhere, but the tuition hike from last year was saddening!
