What's the Greek scene like?

The Greek life at Chapman is about 35{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of all students!! This is pretty large for a small private school! Going greek is definitely major theme at Chapman. Most students end up rushing, whether they decide to go Greek or not. Our Greek life is awesome. Even though I am not personally in a sorority, many of my friends are and they love it. We have six frats and seven sororities. In our Greek system, all different Greeks intermix. It does not matter what chapter you are apart of, students are friends with everyone! Just like any school, the Greek system has several dances, events, performances, and much more throughout the year. Going greek at Chapman is awesome however it is not crucial! Greek or not, everyone is invited to everything and no one really cares or judges other depending on being Greek or not.

The popular organizations on Campus include Greek Life, including Fraternities and Sororities. I am in a sorority that was recently established on campus. We have lots of philanthropy events, as well as swaps and exchanges with other groups on campus. We participate in Greek Events such as Airbands and Skit. Joining an organization like this has helped me discover a group of people I like and get me more involved. Before coming to Chapman I would have never joined Greek Life, but at Chapman it is an important part of our campus, and is committed to the various philanthropies that comes along with it. Greek life is quite a big deal on campus, many of the big events like greek week are sponsored by this. Our school also has one of the highest participation in Greek Life. Being in an organization like this allows you to extend your group of friends, find people with like ideals, and get involved.

Chapman is 40{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} Greek, which is unheard of for a school this small. The Greek chapters are all very proud an competitive. We have 7 sororities and 7 fraternities, but no houses. Being Greek is the best way to get involved and become a leader, but it is not necessary. The Greek population is huge and can be overbearing, but it is a lot of fun. All of the chapters bond and have fun together, and do not hold any strong hatred toward any other chapter.
