Chatham University Top Questions

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Elise

The best part about attending Chatham University is being a NAME and NOT A NUMBER. It is extraordinarily easy to build a relationship with faculty, staff, and administration. I have built many relationships that I would not trade for the world with faculty. The administration is willing to listen to all student issues and changes can be made. If you are dissatisfied and can get a supporting group of students to your opinion, the issue will more than likely be addressed and your dissatisfaction changed. Due to the intimate relationships that can be built, academic success is easy to come by with hard work. Chatham University is the perfect size for someone who wants to be known. If you want to be noticed, choose Chatham. If you are worried about being in a small classroom, don't. But what I can tell you is that the atmosphere here is not like anything you have felt before. When people hear "Chatham University," their first reaction is that you go to an all-women's college. But then when you show them the school and tell them about the immense amount of activities, they have a new impression. Chatham is a hidden oasis located off of 5th Avenue in Pittsburgh. It is serene and more beautiful than anything else in all seasons. The surrounding area has plenty of shops, wellness facilities, and restaurants. From Amazing Yoga in Shadyside to Aladdin's in Squirrel Hill, you will never be dissatisfied. Some of the most common student complaints I have heard are that there is nothing to do. Don't listen to them. If you are willing to read bulletin boards or go off campus, there are so many things to do! You can also make your own fun. Sledding on Chapel Hill is something I will always remember! Chatham University is the place for you if you want to be an independent woman, ready to make a change and have a name for yourself.
