I think the most wonderful thing about Chatham University is that it is a very diverse university, not only among students but also within the staff. The diversity at Chatham leads to a very welcoming community. At Chatham a person can feel comfortable in his or her own skin. We are all different but come together as one.
The best thing about Chatham is the professors and class choices. My professors go out of their way to make sure that I have what I need to be successful.
The English and cultural studies departments are filled with intelligent, charismatic professors who care about imparting knowledge to the students so that they can be, even if it is a Chatham University cliche, World Ready Women.
What is great about the school is that it is a smaller campus in a bigger city. Even if you are an out-of-state student, one feels very much at home here at Chatham University. Pittsburgh is a great starter city for students being on their own for the first time. It is not an overwhelming city, giving one the opportunity to make a life for themselves.
I love the atmosphere. It is in the middle of Pittsburgh, but is seperated. It has lots of trees and green things, and if you never left the campus, you would never know you were in the city. It is the best of both worlds.
My school is very good for my major (Psychology). I can graduate in 5 years with a bachelor's and master's degree. Also, it is a private institution so I am considered a name and not a number in each and every one of my classes.
The dedication of the faculty towards the students. They are the reason the Chatham feels more like a home and less strange.
The best thing about Chatham University is the atmospher of the campus. It is a very beautiful place to be and it gives you a calm aroma when walking around. Having a peaceful enviroment around you when you are attending college is a plus because it helps you to relax and stay focused on your school work more.
being an all women's college
The environment. Everyone is so friendly and easy to get along with. I always fell welcomed.
The community is small so everyone knows each other. You can walk through campus and say hi to everyone, knowing 75% of them and even if you don't know them every one is VERY friendly. The professors are ALWAYS available and they really want to help you learn. This institution will bend over backwards to help you through a struggle just to make sure that you can stay here. I LOVE Chatham! Go Cougs!
