I think it’s a pretty great school, very convenient for others to go if need be but the people and counselors seems very helpful throughout and they care about your education which I really like. This school have varieties of this to do sport wise and to help you build on to your career which is pretty good.
I've spent one semester a Chowan University and I LOVE it here ! The class sizes are great, its easy to contact professors, and the community is very supportive. I plan on graduating from this university. Only down fall to this school is its kind of in the middle of nowhere, however student parking is FREE so you can bring a car on campus and find activities to partake in. I absolutely love my university.
I love my school! the thing I love the most about it is it's size. The university is small so it is more one on one. You actually get to know your professors. Although the price is a little expensive, it is worth it.
My overall opinion on Chowan is that it is a good school. I really like that the class rooms are not that big and the teachers are always available with official hours or by email. I would have to say the only thing I didn't like about the schools was the lack of things around the campus to do.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Chowan University is 56%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
If I could go back in time to talk to myself, I would tell myself to focus more in school, try harder, and remember to do my best and settle for nothing less. I would tell myself about money as well as time management. I would try to redo, most of my senior year. I would be more active in school and spend more time with my counsuler learning about my options as well as apply for more finaancial aid.
I do most of my bragging to all of my friends and family back at home in Wake Forest. I enjoy the people and the staff at Chowan University. My goal is to play football this spring. My professor are great and they take up a lot of time with each student so that they can succeed in class. I also like the food their sometimes. College life is the best. My school is very quiet and in a quiet neighborhood. The neighbors are supportive of the students. The merchants are ready to assis the students with jobs.
It is a small school but it is wonderful for getting teacher recomendations.
How dedicated instuctors are to enhance students learning.
It is a peaceful campus with a family atmosphere. The professors can work with you one on one because the campus is small. Chowan is very involved with the community. The buildings are conviently within the right distance of each other. Compared to other schools that I considered, I felt lost because the schools were large.
I wish I would have known that I could bring a car my freshman year.
I dislike that some classes are too big, with some students not taking the course seriously by talking, texting, and just being rude.
Someone is going to be focused on their work, who wants to better themselves as a person as well as an upcoming worker. If you want to further your education, learn in small classrooms, work with well rounded teacher, and meet new people of different culture then this school is right for you.
My school is best known for the small campus
A lazy and/or non-active person wouldn't be the right fit for this school, and one who doesn't like to socialize or be around other people. A person who doesn't like to share space or be in a confinded area for over a certain amount of time.
The must frustrating thing is that there is nothing to do after classes or on weekends.
I love the environment. I love the classes size. The professors are helpful. I'm only a freshmen, and Chowan fells like a second home to me.
