What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

How many stairs there are because it's a workout. Also I wish I would have known sooner, all their outreach progams they had and how much they have to offer, I could have started saving money and getting better help earlier, but better late then never.

When I first entered City College of San Francisco I was nineteen years old and I had not yet learned how to balance work and school. As a returning student at the age of thirty-three with many years of life and work experience under my belt I no longer struggle with the fine balance of work and school. I have learned that it is more important to work so that I can live the life that I want, and not to live life to work. It is my education that is the key to the life that I seek.

I wish I would've known more about different types of scholarships and that many things have deadlines to them (i.e.- scholarships, grants, financial aid, etc). The main thing I'm worried about is the expenses that college bring and how will I be able to pay for my classes and required school materials. I also wish I would've known about the different courses taught at my school, and what classes are required of me to take.
