The worst thing about the school is that the food options are over priced and uninteresting. The only way to get interesting food is to go to the buffet. Most of the time I don't want to eat that much food at one time.
Most schools sit back from the street and CSU is sitting very close to the main street which there is a great deal of traffic and bus lines moving at all times.
I can't say for sure because I'm still in Cuyahoga Community College. It did not give me the option for my school. The worst thing about this school is some of the tutors and teachers are lazy when it comes to teaching.
Expensive
It was hard to complete the process to enroll in specific classes at that time. Also, the processing of student loan applications fell behind far enough that for many quarters my loan money was late and I had to withdraw from some classes.
I the think I do not like about my school are all of the fees! Fees for the bus, parking, class - you name it and there is a fee.
The worst thing about my school is that the food isn't very good.
The worst thing about my school would have to be the size; it is a rather large school and it sometimes leads to people becoming lost; however there are quite a few maps readily at hand in order to give assistance to wary students.
Lack of good buffets.
The worst thing about my school would be the on campus living situations. Many students I know living on campus say the dorms are old and not updated so it makes it really unpleasant to live in. But CSU is changing that building these new apartments styled campus living quarters.
Living on campus is the worst thing about my school. There is a bias between the dorms. One dorm gets treated as if it is a low income housing project while the other is treated like the suburbs. The food quaility starts off good and then it falls off terribly. The management are more about serving themselves rather than the residents. If I had a chance to do it all over again I would stay off campus from the start.
The rather small student body. Cleveland State has a lot to offer, and with a larger student body students could engage in more than just academics.
Certain core required coures are only offered once a school year (ex. fall or spring) or only offered in the evening. This makes it difficult to get core courses completed somethimes. As well since I work, classes offered after 6 pm are not convenient for people who attend classes during the day and work evenings.
I suppose the worst thing about my school is that I recieve a ton of homework assignments with little time to work on them. There are times where I'm forced to give up trying to socialize with people in order to get my homework assignments completed. However, it can also be argued that this is the best thing because it teaches the students to be self-reliant, work up a schedule, and learn what the real world is like when they have a job.
The worst thing is the social environment. It is very hard to meet people.
The worst thing about my school is that it is located right in Downtown Cleveland. Lots of traffic.
I do not like how there is hardly any structure established when it comes to transfer students. It was a horrible experience trying to get credits transferred, trying to find an "advisor" because at CSU you don't have a specific advisor to talk to or go to. The whole process made no sense and very unorganized.
The worst thing about this school is that there is not much to do unless you're into the downtown Cleveland nightlife or working out all the time at the Rec Center.
The worst thing is the tuition.
Some of the teachers are tenured dinosaurs. So they suck, don't care about you, and the department heads can't do anything about it. Other than that, go buy yourself some Uggs and a goose down parka cuz it can get pretty un-godly in the winter. Don't get caught w/o gloves. Take advantage of your RTA pass if you can. Hit the park and ride. Its $160/ semester for a parking pass, plus gas, and there is never enough parking anyway.
The worst thing at Cleveland State is the large class sizes.
The only thing that I don't like about my school, is that people tend to group themselves by people that live on campus, and people that commute. I lived on campus last year, and I commute this year, so I've made friends both ways, but the two groups don't seem to associate with each other, which kind of stinks.
How they mail the wrong or sometimes dont mail the statement of what you owe for tution and then act like its your fault and not theirs.
The down fall to Cleveland State is that it is hard to make good friends there, because it is a commuters school. If you are going to a college to make lasting friends, then Cleveland State is not the right choice.
The worst thing about CSU is the lack of parking, although the university is correcting the issue ever so slowly. Another irratating aspect the university is working on is the quility and quantity of the surrounding buildings (IE housing, eating establishments, bars, etc).
The worst thing about school is the first day of classes and being overwhemled with quizes and test the first day.
I think the worst thing about my campus ould probably be how unpredictable the weather is.
University is in a rebuilding phase right now. Will be really nice in a few years, but there is a lot of construction right now.
The worst thing I would have to say is the communication between staff and students at the resident halls for example the mailroom. They have an issue with being in the right place when scheduled to be there and they have people waiting which is not professional.
It is hard to meet people, the location is not great and there is not much to do. I've been at the university 4 years now and have yet to make a friend on campus for more than a semester.
