My school is best known for Myrtyle Beach, which is ten miles away from the school. It also is famous for its biology program and the atheletic ecellence of the baseball and maen's basketball team.

I chose Coastal because they are known for their Marine Science program but I found so much more. Coastal offers 51 majors and 40 minors. The school is affordable and was recently named one of "America's Best Colleges," a survey by Forbes and the Center for College Affordability and Productivity. The report ranked CCU in the top 15 percent of the nation's four-year undergraduate institutions. They also have a cool mascot. Go Chanticleers! And I love the school colors too!

Location, it is inbetween a small town and the beach. The school has a great location, great faculty and staff and a great selection of majors for students and it's graduate classes are expanding. Coastal Carolina also has a very well known Baseball team.

Coastal Carolina University (CCU) is best know academically and athletically. In the athletic category, CCU excels in baseball and basketball. Most universities are known for their outstanding college football team; with CCU not so much. Academically, CCU is recognized for having one of the best Marine Science program. It has a lot of opportunities to offer within the major that interest most students with marine aspirations.

The school is known for it's beautiful campus and location. It also has many honors from several different college ranking magaizines.

My school is best know for its area, cause it very close to the beach.

Most student seem to come to CCU to be close to Myrtle Beach and the ocean. I do not know what it is best known for, however I came to CCU for their Special Education program.

Coastal Carolina University is best known for its Marine Science program. We have a major advantage over other universities due to being located about 10 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. We also have a private island, Waitee's Island, which is only for the university's use. Waitee's Island is a big part of the Marine Science program, and allows undergraduates, as well as graduate students, to perform research in pristine conditions.

My school is best known for our Division 1 basketball team.

It's location; it's right beside Myrtle Beach.

CCU is best known for its liberalism. It also has an great marine science program. It was a tiny school a few years ago, but due to Myrtle Beach's fast growing and the new programs they have added, the student population has reached sky high and their are students from all across the United States.

Big South Baseball Championships, Football games, Being near Myrtle Beach, and the academic programs for Resort Tourism Management, Marine Science, Pro Golf management, etc... Theyre all very focused.
