I wish I knew how student loans work and what I was going to be getting myself into.

I wish I known the cost to live in this area.

Before I came to Coastal, I wish I would've known how inefficient the Coast RTA shuttler are. I live in University Place which is half a mile down the road from the campus. It's considered on campus housing so the shuttle runs from there to campus to the science center and back around. The shuttle is/has never been on time. They had me late for some of my classes. One time I waited an hour for the shuttle to come and it was really cold.

I wish I would of known more about the housing situations.

Before coming to Coastal, I wish I had known about all the plans for change like contruction for instance. Construction costs have caused tuition costs to rise. It has also created other complications for Coastal, like parking issues and re routing issues. This is all construction that Coastal decided to began during the academic year which has really affected students a great deal.

I wish I knew that you can apply for more scholarships. I didn't know this until this year, it would have really helped out last year.

I did a lot of research on Coastal Carolina University before I came here. I toured the campus, the suronding area. The class size, academics expectations. I felt prepared when I came here and there were not many supprises.

Prior to attending this school, I wish I would have know that the tuition would raise in order to beautify the campus. Granted this beautification is necessary and appreciated, as a student, the cost of tuition is always high.

how bad the traffic on highway 501 would be from march to october

I wish I had known about the lack of baptist or christian organizations. I also wish I had known how much of a party school it was, since I do not wish to be a part of that.

Before I came to the school I wish I would have known better study habits.

I wish i had know more about finding locations

I wish I would have know which career I wanted to pursue. I know most college freshman don't but I had an epiphany. I needed to pursue my dreams just like everyone else is during this stage in my life. I shouldn't settle and I know there is a risk of failing. I am willing to risk it because I want to be happy when I look back when I'm old and said that I wanted something and I achieved my goals of reaching it.

How much I was going to enjoy sttending college at Coastal.

I wish I would have known more about required classes and scheduling. I wish I would have known more about reqirements for my major.

I wish I had known that I would be stuck in the middle of nowhere before I came to this school.

That it is a big transition, so be prepared. Allocating your time is the most important. Don't try to rush into friendships with the wrong people. Just be paitent and you will meet good people to make your friends!!!

Other than the housing issue, I have had a great experience at Coastal Carolina. I have made some really great friends and I am excelling in my studies. I live off campus now in a new condo complex that is within walking distance from the school.

I wish that I would have known how laid-back it was. That way, I would have told all my friends to come along! I love Coastal. The class sizes are perfect and the classes are equally challenging; they're not too hard and not too easy. On the negative side, I wish that I would have know the number of dorms and on-campus living there was and actually known that Coastal doesn't have a lot of places on campus for you to live. On-campus living is something everyone should be able to have that chance!

Meeting roommates on facebook wasn't necessarily the best idea. Room random. I'm responsible for my own happiness. I can always stop partying and find calmer friends. Talk to as many people as possible, one might change your life. What I'm passionate about is most important. My major should be based around what makes me happy not monetary factors. Let the simple things keep you afloat. Don't let change both in yourself and in your friends scare you, welcome it, encourage it. Act don't react. There's humor in every situation.

I wish I had known how to get more financial aid, honestly. As a local commuting student, going to Coastal should have been a lot cheaper for me and I should have gotten more aid, considering my high school, grades, GPA, and honors.

Prior to arriving at Coastal Carolina University I wish I had known how wonder this school truly is. My stay here has been an enjoyable one, making trips home shorter each time. This is due to the fact that his I have all the comforts of home and new friends . I have come to terms that this is not home. Had I known prior to coming here, that leaving would be so hard. Classes, campus life, the community, prepare you for the workforce but when you enjoy something special it is hard to let go.

How the education program was not was great as what I had heard.

The calibur of the other students. That most of them wouldn't be as serious as I am.

Not to have TOO much fun your freshman year and get behind. it's easy.

To bring more shorts, and less jeans, because it's pretty hot and humid out, and to bring an umbrella. Also, I wish I had more financial aid information before I came because I'm am going to be in extreame debt when I graduate.
