Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.

Lisa

My school is fun and unique.

Ashley

If you have never been to either CSBSJU I would have to say the main aspect to the campus is that it is embedded into the ecosystem. There is over 4200 acres of forest and wildlife at CSBSJU. The campus is on the smaller side which is so nice when you have class you can get mostly anywhere within 5 minutes of walking. Most of the buildings are older with a few acceptions to CSB, the caf and library are fairly new. And at SJU, Sexton and The New Science Center are both very new. We are a Catholic community so the churches are both very respected and gorgeous from the outside and inside. There is alot of beautiful colors in the fall when the leaves start to change. SJU is literally in the forest basically, which is really neat. CSB is located right next to the town of St. Joseph, which is a very small community.

Both CSB and SJU benefit in beauty from the minnesota fall. It is absolutely the most gorgeous sight you will see. The trees upon tree red, orange and yellow. All around campus you will see students outside as long as they can be until it is too cold, and then as soon as the first 40 degree day hits in early early march everyone is back outside again. The actually sight of the school is much like any college campus buildings with great history beautiful worship spaces and places for quiet reflection. What I find possibly unique to our campus is the random chairs everywhere outside that to my inital surprise as a freshman actually get used. People really utilize the outdoors here, which is great because we have som many wonderful things to offer through our over 2000 acres of arboretum and trails. To put it simply the campus is beautiful throughout the seasons. Fall brings the vibrant colors that pose as the backdrop to so many photos, through winter we are graced the the snow falling on the trees and dusting the building tops and as we transition into spring the beautiful flowers bloom and the bright red tulips begin to pop up all over campus.

Beautiful! The landscaping is always perfect. I'm sure the winter is going to be even more gorgeous!

Stephanie

The CSB campus is far more modern than SJU. It's small, and bustling and can get pretty windy. It's easy to get turned around at CSB, walking through buildings and having some hiding behind others. SJU is a very majestic, Hogwarts-esque type campus. The buildings are much older and made from brick, wood ceilings in the classrooms, lots of walking.
