What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about College of the Desert?

When I tell my friends about college of the desert I always tell them about the wide array of classes the school has. We have basic classes like science, english and math and we also have classes like baking, auto mechanics, and HVAC. When ever any of my friends say they are moving or going out of state I always tell them they should at least do their general education here at c.o.d. Why spend all that money when you can take so many fun classes and classes you need here for about 5000 a semester.

I have been truly privileged to be a part of some very supportive clubs that have made my time in community college not only enjoyable but much less of a financial hardship than it otherwise would have been. I tell as many people possible to join social and academic clubs in college to have a fuller and more involved experience. Unfortunately, a large number of students have to work and cannot spend that much time taking part in school activities. I am fortunate that my family has supported me and allowed me give back through school clubs.
