You shouldn't attend if you know your major and get a scholarship to a 4 year university.
Anyone who is willing to learn is welcome here. If you're in high school or have graduated from high school, you are able to attend this College. You can be someone with a degree and are going to COD. This school is open to anyone who is looking for a "cheaper" way to take his or her general ed. It's definitely not a waste of time.
If you are looking for a place to further your education. If you are looking to learn important values and skills that you will use for the rest of your life. If you are looking for a place to fit in, a place to make friends. If you are looking for a fresh start, no matter how old you are. College of the Desert is definetely the place to go. I couldn't say that someone shouldn't attend college, unless you are mentally ill, unstable and unfit to attend school. College is a place for all.
