The most well known stereotypes of Holy Cross are that majority of the student body are snobby, rich white kids that come from affluent families. Another one is since Holy Cross is a Jesuit School you have to be catholic.
The stereotypical Holy Cross student is well-dressed, outgoing, Catholic, and rich. Like any stereotype, there is some truth to this label, but there are also many many students here who defy that image. Walking around campus, you will see many preppy people, but you will also see and meet tons of great, diverse people from all different backgrounds and all with their own unique stories. While a majority of the student population definitely owns at least one NorthFace and two pairs of Sperry top-siders, it's really more of a fun campus quirk than an annoying or oppressive presence. We're generally aware of our own preppiness and poke fun at ourselves in the process.
