College of the Holy Cross Top Questions

It is no question that Holy Cross offers an amazing education with great teachers and a strong support system. That is why I chose the college. However, beyond that my favorite thing about Holy Cross is the people. I have only been on campus for four months now but I already feel as if I am a part of a family. Everyone is kind, friendly and supportive. I am surrounded by people who are motivated to succeed in life not for themselves but for the betterment of their communities. Living in this community has helped me become a better person.

The best thing about Holy Cross far and away are the people on campus. This includes the students, faculty, staff, public safety, alumni, etc. There is a community here that is difficult to find anywhere else. Everybody is looking out for everyone else and their best interests. It is an environment where everyone is encouraged to be helpful and involved and to share their talents to help build a vibrant and active community. This creates an excellent academic environment for students to work in and also a wide range of social activities for all students on campus.

The professors and the classes

In my experience so far at Holy Cross, I have found that there is a perfect balance between community and compassion, and academic competition and excellence.

The best thing about Holy Cross is that the school as a whole encourages you to find yourself. The first question they asked on orientation day was "who do you want to be for yourself and others?" This follows with the Jesuit tradition of helping others. There are many opportunities at Holy Cross to find your passions by joining clubs, or by talking to professors or counselors who are very willing and able to help. more than 80{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the student body is involved in student organizations and community service, which makes for a very strong and connected student body.

The professors really take it upon themselves to make themselves available to their students outside of the classroom in office hours and scheduled appointments.

The community feeling, the close-knit campus, and the work hard/play hard mentality of the school. Students definitely value their school, and it shows after they graduate through the awesome alumni network the school has.

Study abroad, because you get to spend an entire year in a different country instead of just a semester.

The size of this school is the best thing about it. I recognize almost every face on campus and it's great to see professors walking around as well as students.
