It is a very private college where every student works to attend college to graduate debt free. The college is very strict on the students - in their schooling, work, and life.

C of O is not a school for everyone. 10{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the people who apply get accepted because admissions is so focused on Character. Then, once you're accepted for your grades and/or good character shown in your interview, they treat you like a ticking time bomb about to burst. And if you do, you're out because there are 9 people waiting to fill your spot. But, if you can get past all that, it's a good school academically and the social life can be what you make of it and the tuition is free. Otherwise, I'd advise a community college. Most offer so many scholarships that it's virtually tuition free and after two years of getting G-E's out of the way, saving, and thinking of a major, you can go to a probably more expensive school and take out a loan if you have to. Because the old adage does ring true, you get what you pay for.

My school is the most unique school I have looked at. Not many students get to walk away from graduation saying that they went to college for free or that they worked for their own tuition. Even the kids who's parents pay for books or for their room and board have to work at least 15 hours a week on campus. Almost everything, except for the professors and the Deans, is run by the students. Students run the Cafeteria, events, and even Admissions. I am here because I have worked hard to be, just like everybody else.

At College of the Ozarks, students are given the opportunity to work for their education and graduate debt free. Also, by working the summer work program, students can pay off room and board expenses as well. The faculty and staff go above and beyond expectations to help students with whatever concerns they may have. And this college really gives students the opportunity to grow spiritually and academically. The student body only consists of about 1500 people, making it easy to form very close and personal relationships with other students. Everyone is very supportive of each other.

You get to go to school for FREE. The tuition and room and board are paid off by working 15 hours a week and two 40 hour work weeks and the books are taken care of by scholarships.

At College of the Ozarks we work for our tuiton. You work 15 hours a week plus one 40 hour work week per semester. You are only responsible for room and board which goes up every semester and books. This school has a zero tolerence for alcohol and is a Christian based school. You must atten 7 chapels and 7 convocations a semester until you're a senior.

Because of my college's work program, there is such a great opportunity to go to school without accumalating debt! You gain so much work and real life experience through the work program! There are also many activities on campus to get ivolved in and the professors are great!
