What are your classes like?

Marissa

All of my smaller classes are pretty interactive, and class participation counts for a grade. The larger intro-level lectures are mostly just that: lectures where you sit and listen. This semester I took a history class where we had to visit a historical site and then create an argument based on what we saw. That was pretty cool. The reading loads can get heavy, but they are manageable with self-pacing.

All of the professors I've had here are very nice and understanding. They are all also hilarious, which makes a big difference when you're taking a class I think. Most of the classes I've taken are lectures because I'm only a sophomore and haven't taken the smaller more advanced classes for my major, but they're still interesting.
