This is the best scoop for any student who thinks they will be overwhelmed by a big traditional college. Collin takes good time to put time into every student to make sure they are successful and their classes are a perfect match for them and whatever career they are trying chase

I loved my time at Collin. The professors were amazing. I actually learned to love History, Earth Science and Oceanography thanks to 3 awesome and passionate professors. All my professors were there when we needed them. They kept their personal and political stances to themselves and taught us in the devil's advocate kind of way. My Humanities professor was also amazing. Extremely unbiased in his teachings, he made us really see things outside of our own beliefs. My Psychology and Government professors were the same! Sometimes we would bug our professors what they really thought, but they wouldn't budge. They remained true to their teaching and unspoken oath as an educator. They taught us to see all sides of anything and everything. Put our biases and beliefs aside in order to truly understand something. I will never forget any of my professors, even if they will probably forget me since they get new faces every semester. They made a huge impact in my life and I am forever grateful to each and every single one of them.

I love that Collin is inexpensive; this has helped so many students achieve life goals! Many of my friends who started their education at Collin, are already graduating from places like UT, OSU, Baylor, and many other schools. Collin is a great place to take classes that are cheap, but still get you the education you need, as well as the credit. Many people hate on community colleges because its not going to give you the big "university" experience all high school seniors are looking forward to; but Collin is a great place to not only save money, but get further ahead on your educational goals.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I absolutely love attending Collin County Community College District, I think for the price of the college you get overly qualified professors and education professionals who truly love what they do! I don't think the student life is that much of a big deal just because the school is more of a "stepping stone" campus. I do truly enjoy my time there.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

As I walked through the campus of the school I would be going to for the next two years, I did not expect it to feel so dull and tiresome. The hallways were generally empty, the students seemed uninterested in conversations, and the advisors were busy and far too preoccupied to answer the majority of my questions. When my senior year English teacher told me that "Collin is the Harvard of community colleges," I guess I just expected more.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Collin County Community College District is a great Community College that I have enjoyed my first year enrolled in college at. I as currently a Sophomore at The Colony High School and in Collegiate Academy to earn my Associates of Arts by the time I earn my GED in 2020. I currently have 9 hours and from that I have enjoyed every professory that I've had. Every class has influenced me in some way that has bettered me. Along with the great classes the Preston Ridge Campus in which i attend during summer classes has clean and safe facilities.

Collin Community College is a great place to start at! It's cheap and the classes are very easy if you pay attention and do the work. Everyone is super nice and there are many free resources available on the campus. My favorite is the free counseling services. They always help me keep calm when a test is about to come up. I highly recommend attending Collin County Community College because the classes are small and it's easier for the professor to focus on every individual student in the class.

The parking lot is terrible, and the school should be remodeled, it has one elevator in the whole building. But, most teachers are eager to help. No one lives on campus at my campus, so it's not very tight-knit. Right next to a big shopping plaza, which is nice.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Collin College is great if you are right out of high school and want to cut-down on the cost of college, or if you are an adult trying to go back to school. The campuses are relatively new, and are always being improved. The professors are all very passionate about what they teach and you can tell that they love working at Collin. You can also find classes that will fit with your schedule as there are classes Monday through Saturday and with classes that start as early as 8AM or as late as 7PM.
