Collin College is an excellent 2 year school that offer a lot. My first year here was great the teachers that I had were very cool and caring about the students. The people here are very friendly and ease to talk to, the campus is pretty safe, and its a good environment to be in. The only downside about Collin is there is not a lot of fun things to do and the cafeteria food is ok but other than that I would give it a good rating overall.

Collin is a great school for students who are not 100% sure where/what they want to study. Collin has the lowest tuition rate for in-county residents in all of Texas so it is a wonderful option that will save you a TON of money! Go to Collin, get your general courses out of the way and then transferring to a 4 year school will be a breeze. Trust me, your bank account will thank you!

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Collin College is an amazing college that prides itself on a mission for developing skills, strengthening character, and challenging the intellect. It upholds these values by recruiting extraordinary professors that encourage furthering education with a challenging curriculum. This is turn, results in the most qualified graduates. Through innovation, Collin College has built the one of the best nursing programs in Texas that is both affordable and highly respected. The overall success from the graduation rate and NCLEX pass rate has brought forth an opportunity for a BSN program to be implemented once it passes the states legislature. In essence, Collin College produces consistent results for their mission by having highly qualified professors, educational programs that enhance students success rates, and offering a competitive curriculum that places education as a top priority.

Collin College is a great school to attend to take core classes to transfer on to a university. My professors and classmates are so easy to get along with and very understanding. I love how the campus police are always on duty and make the campus feel like a safe place. I have not, yet, experienced any racial discrimination since I've been here...and that's a great thing. It's very comforting, inviting, and everyone is always smiling. I LOVE MY SCHOOL! COUGAR NATION!

Collin County Community College District is a very accepting kind of college. I do have to say though, some of the teachers are not as uniform or informative as hoped. Such as one experience I had where one of my elderly teachers had lost 6 weeks of worksheets for me and another teacher had horrendously organized the homework in my algebra class so we have no idea what piece of the sections being taught is about to be practiced. It even includes things we weren't taught. I enjoy the private study spaces in the library and some of the teachers, such as my government professor, Julie Hershenberg, She is so passionate about the issue, she makes staying from seven to nearly ten at night, worth it! She makes me motivated to go to my classes and happy. The services are very nice but sometimes not the best.

Great college to get some credits out of the way. It is very easy to transfer from Collin College to another University. They want you to succeed at this college which is really nice. Choose your professors wisely though because some are better than others.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Collin County Community College is a great place to being your college education. This school has small class sizes which means intimate relationships with the professors and more personalized learning and discussions. I have attended this school for two years and I am actually sad to be leaving. I have made lasting connections with professors who took time to get to know me, my life, and my goals. They helped to guide me to the career path I am currently on and were always available if I had questions. Collin is a place where the education comes first to all the professors and faculty. They truly want you to reach your goals and they provide you with endless resources that help in making decisions about your future. Whether you still need a little time to figure out what career best suits you or you have other responsibilities and need to stay close to home, Collin County Community College is the best place to begin a college education.

It is an excellent starter school for ALL ages. Easily accessible, multiple campuses, and lots of community activities. The admin at campuses are better than the others, but once you learn what needs to be done it is easy to complete for yourself and online. Diverse educators and students.
