Collin College is perfect for the individual who wants a small college to attend. The class sizes make it easier to learn and interact with the professors due to the 32 person cap. The facilities are great, and they offer several services. Such as the writing center with english professors to advise you on your writing skills. Overall, highly recommend.

Collin is a well organized community college that focuses well on its students and has professors that care about a young adults success. Although, it is somewhat difficult to interact and get into clubs on campus it is still a nice friendly community to be a part of.

Collin County Community Colleges are fantastic! I attend the Plano campus and it is absolutely beautiful. The library is huge, the staff is beyond helpful, the professors I've had are all kind and always available for office hours or contacted by email.

Collin College is a great school. My professors have been really tough but in a good way. The campus life is pretty good because there is always something going on, I just never participate because I am always working. My teachers prepare me for my tests very well and you can tell that they want to see us do well in life.

Collin College is truly a mix of the good the bad and the ugly. The college has many things that I appreciate and on the other hand it has other things I could care less about. Collin offers many different things for many different types of people. But that being said I have generally been impressed with this community college, and a community college it is. Now let’s start with the campus. I go to the Central Park campus for the most part. And I must say I was generally impressed with this campus, its new and you can tell, its kept up very well and is always clean even though people are in and out of the campus constantly. Now I can say what the other campus look like but I have heard that the Spring Creek campus is a bit run down and old. But this must be the way community colleges work instead of redoing the old campus they just make a new one. Now I can’t say much of the other campuses but I have heard good and bad about the others. Hopefully more they are morel like the Central Park campus and not the Spring creek campus Next on my list is how the college work with its students. For this I, must say the college really does go above and beyond for its students. It seems like there is always something going on for the students to either participate in a little something or something free the student can take home. While sometimes it’s not something useful but the fact that something is always there for the students says a lot about the college itself. The college is constantly having other colleges or things like the military trying to recruit, come out and sit in halls talking to the students about possibly joining or coming to said college for a campus visit. So, to me it seems that this college always has something for the students. The good part about community colleges is that they are cheap and close to home. Collin College is like other community colleges in that respect. Collin offers many different classes and also has classes on the weekend for people who might have jobs during the week. Collin also provides online courses so that it is easier for the student to take classes as well. This college seems to try and make college available to everyone, so if you’re a stay at home mom or still need to work Collin has a course at a time good for you. And because Collin is a community college it has campuses all around the county so that at least one campus is close by. Collin is also cheap compared to a four-year college so again making college an option to just about everyone. Though most of the reasons Collin is good is because it is a community college, so putting it on par with other community colleges. Courses at Collin is really just best if you are trying to get your basics done. That’s not to say that the college doesn’t have another course you could take. Collin does have other course you can take it just doesn’t have much choices when it comes to other courses outside the basics. While signing up for course is rather simple too. It seems very similar to how you would sign up for other colleges that might be of higher regard. Collin even has a basic tool that signs you up for classes that you need for your degree. Though some classes are specific to campus so getting to that class might be a little more difficult. Collins professor can be the best things sense sliced bread or they can the biggest disappointment to have spent your money on and everything in-between. While most the time your professors will for the most part will teach you what you need to be taught. There is chance that the professor you get can unreasonably hard for the course you are taking. Or the chance the professor is rather new to the teaching game and doesn’t really know exactly what they need to be doing. Now what might be a good idea is to check out the professor of the class you plan on taking to see if the class is going to be a little harder than you might have expected. Professor at Collin can be very hit and miss. The only bad part is that if the professor is no good but he/she is the only one teaching the class at that campus or at the time that you need, you might find yourself stuck with that professor. Which might lead to a harder than expected semester. So if you do your research about your professor college life for you here could be a lot better than if you don’t. Collin College for me has been a good experience. There have been times where it seemed to me that it was way more difficult than it needed to be. But overall Collin has been good to me. For a community college, it has made getting my degree cheaper and easier to obtain. So, for the overall experience I give Collin four out of five stars. Because while for the most part it’s been a nice simple trip there have been instance with professor that I had wish could have been a whole lot simpler.

While this is only a community college, the overall environment is very well kept, organized, and always contains a positive comfort in any part of the campus. The instructors are well-trained in most of my courses I've taken, there's always a chance to arrange a meeting time with them, and in any given situation the deans and the staff are there to help any student in need. I've really enjoyed my past year as a student here at Collin, and I hope other high school graduates get a chance to check it out for themselves.

It's a beautiful campus and a great place to learn if you are will to buckle down and apply yourself. There is no on campus housing which I can say would be the only downside unless you have a roommate since the area is kind of pricey but I love it.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Collin College is a very underrated school. It may be a community college, but it has a lot of potential. The academics are challenging. They are trying to grow their school and make it known so the classes aren't easy. The classes aren't huge so the teachers get more personal. Every class I have taken the teachers make it a point to make sure we understand what we are learning.
