Faith based classes.

The community and overall unity of the school are the hallmarks that I notice most. All have come together with a strong yearning for academic excellence but also learning abuot Jesus Christ. Not all people will agree with our beliefs, but if they come they cannot help but notice our sense of joy and togetherness that creates an enviroment where we can grow in all aspects, not just academically. With this kind of community, we can truly support each other and know one another. You won't be another face, you are you.

What is unique about this school is the sense of community. At this school, students develop life-long relationships with their cohorts. Faculty and staff are genuinely interested in the students and their lives. Students are actively involved in reaching out to other students on campus. There is always something to do on campus. Part of the community is built around serving the community, expanding the relationships to communities surronding campus.

Jonathan

There are many schools that offer great psychology departments, but I appreciate how CCU incorporates my faith into the course work.

Charlene

CCU is a faith-based community of students and faculty who seek to develop a Christ-centered worldview and to excel in their resepective fields for the glory of God. It is small and tight-knit, the professors are excellent and knowledgable and really care about their subjects. The feeling you get is that people really want to be at the school, and it shows. The spiritual life is amazing.

Stephanie

I am attending Colorado Christian University as an adult online student. This school is unique in the fact that all of the teachers, staff, and students are goal oriented with God’s purposes and will at heart. The school is focused on delivering higher education and positive encouragement to anyone seeking this kind of growth in their life. Each class is focused on teaching the curriculum with high standards and integrating Christian faith into each subject. I could never ask for a more supportive network of both teachers and fellow students.

Michael

There are many things that make my school unique compare to others that i have considered. Overall, the teachers and the professior seem to care about you more. Even if it is an online class, they want to get to know you as much as possible. I also fell that other students seem to care and lift you up more.

Sarah

The community you'll find at Colorado Christian University is unlike any you'll find any place else. When you step on to campus you feel like you are home. You are surrounded by fellow believers that are accepting and eager to befriend you.

Crystal

The biblical emphasis is unique and is what I lovethe most about my school.

Sarah

There major focus, besides education is on community. Their whole goal is to make sure that everyone is involved and that everyone gets a chance to know other people on campus. This is done by events, social outing, small groups, intermerals, and clubs that involve the student in the outside community. They offer a lot of ways to get to know other students on a personal level, that a bigger college may not be able to offer.

CCU is a private christian university dedicated to it's students and giving them a worthwhile education. I love how much the proffessors help us and care about us. They get to know us on a one on one bases. I love how CCU is built around a community, so that we can connect with eachother on a deeper level. I love that the school keeps rules based on biblical issues, but also gives us freedom.

Jennifer

Colorado Christian has a program for adults returing to college. They have a generous credit transfer compared to the other schools I researched.

Elizabeth

A great sense of community with a faculty that devotes time and effort into each individual student.

Hannah

Colorado Christian University is really unique because of its emphasis on community. Although I wouldn't technically consider it a "party school," there are a ton of activities in place to encourage getting to know each other, especially for freshmen. There are always things to do and people around to hang out with.

Erin

I found the school as having a very close-knit community and being very open to new members. They were very welcoming and desire to help new students become a part of the CCU community. Similarly, the English department was very encouraging and forthcoming about the future of an English major, and promised to do whatever they could to help me in my writing.

Michelle

It is family and adult student friendly

Colleen

My school is Christian Universtiy, and here the philosophy of every class is important. For instance, in Communications class we learn the philosophy and origins of speech - not only the techniques that make for a great speech. In Computer class were delved into the both the good and evil aspects of technology and into the philosophy of technology (finding that technology is a great thing, inspired by God Himself.) The result is an in depth uderstanding of each subject. Our professors have passion for their subject, and seek not just to fill our buckets, but to light a fire inside.

Kelsey

It is a small Christian school.

Jacob

CCU not only offers a solid program for my major field of study, but also is a great university in my home state, where I can still receive the warm welcome of my family and my church. Just as important, however, is the fact that the environment has proven not only to be a top-rate environment for learning, but also is a place where I know God is welcome, and where I can worship Him and feel the peace and comfort of knowing I have a safe and welcoming domain to pursue my degree.

The most defining characteristic of Colorado Christian University which sets it apart from other schools is its impenetrable sense of community. From campus to classroom, this school is filled with people who truly care about one another. Relationships here are genuine and not taken at face value. The professors cherish their students and seek to know them more personally than just names on a roster or faces in a crowd. Furthermore, there is a dedication at this school to take the compassion that engulfs the campus grounds and bring it into the city. We serve others to change lives.

Gloria

There educational ethics, and beliefs !

Jacob

CCU is a conservative Christian University. This, however, does not mean that we are closed minded to other points of view and opinions. In fact, CCU is very balanced in their teaching of all cultural, religious, and ethical perspectives. However, it is a Christian University, and one must be a born-again Christian to attend.

Shaylee

The community is unreal! You have so many opportunities to do what you love, make great friends, and give soooo much back to your community. The professors invest in you more than any other school. It is pricy, but worth every dime.

Noah

The most unique feature of Colorado Christian University is its living community. All housing on campus is apartment style which allows for a more relaxed, comfortable, and familiar setting in which people can get to know one another and do activities in the apartments. This housing format also forces deeper bonds with three or five other people rather than just one other person. Having more roommates encouraged more activities, meeting more people, and more development of interpersonal skills. This unique housing situation set me up for success in life with people, in ways a dorm setting would not

Alexandria

CCU's profs are genuinely interested in their students and go above and beyond to build friendships with their students. Although CCU is a private Christian university, the faculty/staff come from various backgrounds and denominations, which allows the students to observe diverse perspectives, beliefs, and ways of living. CCU has numerous student led clubs, organizations, and ministries that get everyone involved with the comminty outisde of campus. CCU has its cons like any univeristy, but is a great place to grow academically, spiritually, and otherwise.

Concha

i can talk about my faith with my classmates and intergarte it to my academic work.
