I think it is an excellent option for the majority of generals and lower level classes. The price is right, the class size are much more reasonable-- I actually know everyone's name in ALL of my onsite classes--and the advisors and front desk are super accessible and helpful.
One of the many benefits of attending CMC is the number of beautiful locations which offer several different degrees to choose from. The classes are small which allow for more personalized education. Teachers are also always willing to meet with you if needed after class hours and all my teachers have shown genuine care for me academically. I absolutely love CMC and all the opportunities it has offered me in such little time. CMC is very helpful in several ways; personal connections, financial help and supportive. This community college is not only affordable but it provides such a caring feeling - you don't seem like just another student. Great, great college!
Overall this is an excellent small school. There might not be close shops around that you can walk to, but there are good places to go to if you have transportation. The school is perfectly located on a mountain so you don't have to worry about noise. You're surrounded by nature all around so it is peaceful.
This is a school providing phenomenal opportunities in the mountains of Colorado. As one of the most inexpensive bachelor's degrees available in the nation, with small class sizes and dedicated, devoted instructors, this network of 11 campuses is a hidden gem.

Doing what you love is more important than just going along with the program. It is said all the time but rarely taken seriously, but the saying "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life" is the truest statement when you're choosing a career. Be adventrous and don't worry about being a millionaire in your 30's. You create your own definition of success, so if you feel like you're doing well, then you are. Live your own dreams.
I WISH I KNOW ABOUT THE SCALORSHIP FOR LOCALS. THAT WHAT EVER MONEY YOU SPEND AT CMC THEY WELL PUT TORD YOUR FOUR YEAR DEGREE ONCE YOU GRADUATE FROM CMC
The school was hard to get to and had no real "campus".
My school is a community college that is cost and time efficient that accepts many different types of students ranging from high school to college level to older students who wish to return to school or take courses of interest.
My current school which is Colorado Mountain College is best known for their ourdoor program. There are hundreds of students that transfer from all over the United States to attend this school because their ourdoor program is right in the thick of everything. We live in a beautiful small town surrounded by wilderness and think lush forrest. There are hiking trails and wildlife all around, mountains close enough to touch, and skiing mountains within 15 minutes. Coming to this school is an experience that you will never forget.
Colorado Mountain College, although a community college nestled in the heart of the Yampa Valley presenting a wide variety of courses to its students, offers an exceptional discipline in outdoor studies. With course trips to surrounding outdoor-oriented cities of Colorado and Utah, students are able to possess a hands-on learning experience utilizing skills acquired in the classroom all within a two-year period. In addition, many courses are offered in a ?green? format minimizing paper waste and avoiding textbook damages.
The new campus in Breckenridge is beautiful!
My classmates are motivated, driven, and have an unmatched love for all that nature has to offer.
The best thing about Colorado Mountain College is the small class size, internet class availability, and the mountain atmosphere. The teachers are very approachable and willing to answer any questions. Having the convience of internet classes allows a stay at home mom like me to return to college. Colorado Mountain College is located at 10, 152 ft. This makes for a beautiful back drop.
Colorado Mountain College is for anyone who wants to take an easier and more affordable start to college. The small class size is perfect for a better student-teacher interaction than the big universities that have classes up to 400 students. It offers a productive and motivated atmosphere, while still leaving the option of beautiful hiking and skiing nearby. It is the best of both worlds. One can get a great education while still having the option to stay active and play outdoors.
In my opinion, there are not many people who shouldn't attend this school. I personally think that any opportunity that anyone has to go to college (even a community college), as long as they are truly ready for it, should be taken. This college especially is impressive because of the teachers. It is absolutely refreshing to be in a place where you get so much one on one and the professors honestly do care what happens to you. They take personal investment in your success. To me that is worth the world.
The most frustrating thing about my school would be not being able to get all the information you need in one spot. I had to search for everything I have needed, if there was one place that could have all the information you need to know about the school and how to get started that would be very helpful.
