Some sterotypes of CSU are that it smells like manure all the time, that it is a tiny town with nothing to do, and that the school is second best after CU Boulder. Stereotypes about the people include, that everyone here is either a hick straight up off the ranch or a hippy or that everyone here must have not gotten into CU (in their minds "the better school") thats why they are here.

That we are Red neck cowboy hicks, who aren't very educated and who ride freakin horses around town. Also lovely Buffs think our school is much much more easier to get into than there school and thus our education isn't as intense or well "rounded" as theres.

I would say the biggest stereotype is that we all like to party (A LOT), or to that same end, that there is a lot of underage drinking. In some parts of the country, I think people look at Colorado as farm country. Another stereotype that is more directed at Colorado than CSU is that it snows here all winter.

CSU is still seen as just an Agricultural school, and its students are thought to only be Agricultural majors.

CSU has been viewed as a research university, famous for its Veterinary School, and a "party school." The students have been stereotyped as "stuck up," very white, and environment minded.
