That we are hicks and po-dunk. That we are all cowboys.
We are earthy and green. We like agriculture because we used to be called the Aggies. Everyone parties and the frats and sororities are a big deal. The majority of students are white.
White
One stereotype is that it is a big party school.
We are all poor and dumb because we decided to come to a state school instead of paying an enormous amount of money to go to CU or Colorado College. Also, we're all hicks.
CSU is not a diverse university.
Some stereotypes about CSU are about the fraternities and sororities. Being a new student from out of state I am not every aware of too many stereotypes. The stereotypes about sororities are that the girls are so mean and rude. The fraternities on the other hand, I have heard rumors that they are crazy
agricultural school and the students are more narrow-minded thinkers compared to CU
I don't know any stereotypes about CSU or the students
huge party school, respected argriculture studies, not very diverse
input
Agriculture school, medium income level, bad sports,
that it's a party school
That it's a party school and that all CSU students are hard core partiers.
We are a party school
We are known to be somewhat heavy drinkers, but how can we not be with so many breweries in town. The students are all very into the outdoors, and tend to be athletic. We can also be seen as farmers or aggies because of the location.
That we are "outdoorsy" people and that everyone either skis or snowboards.
None that i know of.
I believe students at CSU have the stereotype of being the students that couldn't get accepted anywhere else.
That the school is full of "hicks", not many minorities, etc.
That the girls are easy.
Students are friendly. Campus is very concerned with recycling and being "green."
Some stereotypes about CSU is that everyone that attends this school is very well off financially, and that we are "spoiled".
We are a state school.
CSU is thought to be the farmer school. It does major in agriculture however, people from all over the world are choosing to come here to get a great education.
None
that the students are either hicks or preps
That it is not as good as CU.
Some stereotypes are that the students are hippies, just farmers, only from Colorado, and not as good as CU.
they drink and party alot
i think the common one is that csu is easier than cu. everyone is laidback. people are farmers or cowboys.
A lot of people see CSU as a Veterinary School and a school that is focused on agriculture since we used to be the "Aggies."
We are seen as a agricultural and veterinary science school. CSU students are seen as down to earth outdoors students
agricultural school
That majority of the black students are on some kind of athletic scholarship. Not too many others that I know of.
CSU is seen as a quality university with a wide variety of students. Sterotypes I have heard are that the buildings are old, students are lazy, and the campus is too spread out.
I haven't really heard of any
that they are all dirty hippies
Csu is a cowboy school and the students are more laid back compared to other colleges.
Some stereotypes of CSU students are that we party all the time and are always drinking whenever we get a chance.
I don't think that I have heard or seen of any stereotypes here
I really didn't think there were that many stereo types like some other schools in Colorado, which is partly why I chose CSU.
I dont think there are stereotypes at CSU. When compared to CU, many people consider everyone there tree huggers and hippies... but at CSU there are a lot of students interested in our veternarian program or business program, so generally its just an accumulation of smart studious individuals. I guess I would say its not as diverse as some other schools, but overall I dont really notice stereotypes here at CSU.
-CSU puts more money into Athletics than Arts or classes -CSU students love the outdoors/outdoor activities -CSU students have a steady rate of parties/underage drinking -CSU students are in college to "have the college experience," not necessarily to learn
That we are awesome
farmers
CSU is seen as a farm school in the middle of nowhere. The students are seen as farm kids or uptight preps that didnt go to CU.
I actually have never heard any stereotypes about CSU or CSU students.
Well i think a stereotype of most college students is that they party too much. This can be true for some people but it's not like we party 24/7...we actually do study and socialize in other settings besides parties.
Some stereotypes about CSU students is that they are not intelligent, they are big partiers and a lot of them don't care about academics.
