The most frustrating thing about my school is the difficulty of finding financial aid and support to attend college when one does not have any parental or family support because one is in jail and the other left at a young age. Also, because of demographic areas, the rest of the family does not support the student (me) because of their sexuallity. It is frustrating because I have the determination and skill, and appreciate the value of an education, however is being told that I can not better my self because I lack money and suffer from parents mistakes.
The most frustrating thing about school, is walking into a computer lab to finish up some homework and all the computers are filled in both open computer labs in the building, including the library. Another frustration is the parking lot, it is way too small to hold the number of students attending this school, if you are not here early, no spot. Lastly, I prefer to have personal desks in the classroom, but the school has long tables with however many chairs under it.
So far I have been very impressed by my school. The diversity is incredible and the atmosphere very unique. If I had to pick one thing that frustrates me most, it would probably be academic advising. I haven't had any problems with it myself, but many of my classmates have and have had difficulty trying to fix scheduling problems or application problems because of lack of good counsel from good advisors.
The most frustrating part about college, that I do not like is math. I say math because I am not that good at equations. I mean, I know basic math like addition and substarction. The hybird class I took in math is very hard. It's hard because it is basically onilne and there is no teacher to talk, too! Like I said I dislike math.
Occasionly, I've taken an online course where the instructor doesn't seem to understand how to teach online. Sometimes the online courses require more work than if I'd taken the same class on campus. This is particularly frustrating because one of the reasons I prefer to take online courses is the time factor.
The most frustrating thing about Columbus State is also one of the greatest features. There are several campus locations and you must be very careful when making your schedule. Unfortunately, I discovered this the hard way leaving myself 30 minutes to make it across town to a different location.
THe most frustrating thing about my school is the fact that advisors are not helpful at all. On many occaisons I have taken courses I didn't need to and as a result, my progress isn't movin at the rate I had hoped for.
The most frustrating this about my school is MathLab, which is such a broken and glitchy system it is quite incredible that it is actuality being used in a real live classroom at all.
The most frustrating thing about Columbus State Community College is that there are times when the campus seems huge. It was easy for me to get lost when I first visited the school.
The location is quite a distance away from where i live and it can be difficult to find where you are supposed to be going because of one ways streets and traffic.
