I wish people know how to communicate instead of lying. Community College of Aurora is a nice college they have a lot of activities and tutoring. I will be successful knowing that I have a lot of support by my side if I need help with anything. I would recommend everyone to go there and then transfer to a university college to save money.

As a current student at the Community College of Aurora, there are still many opportunities that I have yet to take advantage of. But in the small amount of time that I have attended, I have enjoyed the environment and resources that this school offers. Especially as someone who is still trying to figure out what to major in, this school provides several resources that have been incredibly helpful! I also love the class size as well as the intimacy with professors. At this point, I can say that I am happy to be attending the Community College of Aurora.

Community college of Aurora is a great school to get started on your degree for a cheap price and a good education. Students are able to take classes that fit in with their schedules and do it in a timely manner. And if a student does want to do a extra curicular activity they are able to do it with all the different groups they could join on campus.

I honestly have nothing but good things to say about this school. The Application was easy to complete and I always felt like it was easy to get help if I had any questions. The website is awesome as well. I love to use my student account to keep track of my degree and classes. They make it a breeze to register for classes as well, as you are able to complete this through the online portal as well!

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

This would be a life changing conversation... or at least I would hope that it would be. I dropped out of HS during my senior year to prove to my parent's that I was an independent being and could make decisions for myself. If I would have known that by dropping out of school the only person I was hurting was myself... I would have never done it. I would tell the SR me about the embarrassment I feel everytime I am asked "What year did you graduate?". I know that if I could have that moment, I would be able to have made better decisions and probably be a college graduate at this time instead of blindly going through the motions of my life now. An education is the most important thing you can get in a person's young life. I wish I would have realized this before I made some of the biggest mistakes of my life.

  6. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish i had known about varities of courses they had offered to the students at the tution costs in classes. I didn't realize this school has the vital courses for us to develop our own goals in career. It was essential for me to stay in college and complete the classes to get my career goal on the track. I strongly recommend the prospective students to apply for fsfsa and scholarships early before the college year begins in fall. The tutions has raised drastically every year and the classes you are considering to take will be more expensive.

  9. What's unique about your campus?

What i like best about CCA is they make it possible for a person that must work full time able to attend. They have night classes and online classes. CCA is not like a typical college. it is full of adults that have been out of school for at least a few years. the school makes it really easy to go back. i dont feel out of place because of this.

  11. Describe your favorite campus traditions.

I can answer this for myself only, as I have not asked others about this question. At first, I chose this school because of low cost and close proximity to my home. After 2 semesters, I transferred for one year to another community college that is larger, because of schedule availability and course offerings. I am now back at Community College of Aurora, and realize that the staff are friendlier and consistently very helpful. Perhaps because the ethnicity of the student population is more varied, they seem more patient and accomodating, friendly and efficient. I heartily recommend CCA to others.

  17. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The worst thing about my school is the lack of motivation among the students. Some think that somehow they will get through life without working and trying. Some came to class unprepared and slowed the pace of the entire class. I graduated a year early and it was not a cake walk. Nothing can happen without motivation and there was a general lack thereof. If everyone at my school had a goal to attain, somewhere to go in life and with some greatness to achieve, I think we would find my school and society itself in a far better situation.
