CCRI is a great school for students looking to figure out what they want to do or to achieve an Associates Degree. Teachers are experienced in their field and have flexible office hours. The class sizes are small, and the campuses are easy to navigate.

It was a very good school I enjoyed my time there and felt so comfortable by the time I was going to leave I didn't even want to leave. I have recommended the school to my friends who want to go back to school just to explore their mind and expand their horizons. I like the variety of classes and it is convenient that there are 4 locations because you can take classes at whichever is best for you. Also the flexible class times work for new students fresh out of high school or ever those who work a 9 to 5 job.

To each its own. There are other campus all in Rhode Island but the main ones are in Warwick and Lincoln. It depends on the classes your are taking to decide which campus to go to. Every bookstore has changed for the required textbooks that you have classes at.

As a transfer student my previous colleges do not compare to the experience I have had at CCRI the last year. The class sizes are great and there are multiple campuses for everyone's needs. The professors communicate and respond in a timely manner with students.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I attended CCRI for a short time, and worked on campus. My supervisor was an intelligent man and my coworkers were all smart and fairly easy to get along with. The school is extremely diverse with people from all classes, ages, and races, and plenty of people are bilingual. That being said, it IS a community college and is not very involved with students outside of classes and work-study. The biology and nursing courses are very difficult, and require hard work and dedication, as they should. Some teachers in various subjects are sub-par, but the good ones are memorable and will make plenty of time to help you.

While I attended the Community College of Rhode Island, I think that the professors and other staff treated me well. They were always available whenever I needed them the most. I felt that the hardest part of my college career was getting started. Finding that commitment to continue throughout the remainder of the semester was definitely my toughest challenge. But at CCRI, the professors and staff were always one door away and were always available to provide moral support. I enjoyed attending this college because the professors made the course work easy to follow and were very lenient when it came to family matters and attendance. On all of their campuses there is plenty of parking, so parking was not a problem for me. I usually attended the college during the evening hours and even when you didn’t expect there to be a staff member in sight, there was always somebody there to provide you with guidance in case you could not locate your classroom on a different campus. I enjoyed taking their online classes, it saved me time from having to travel from my home to the college. But the support matched the on campus environment. The professors were always available whether it was through email, phone or text message. The professors also always advised the students to seek for free tutoring on campus if you needed it. As well as creating study groups with peers in our classrooms. My graduating class had commencement at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Downtown Providence and it was great! It was a pleasure to have had the opportunity to graduate with the class of 2018!

It isn't a bad school. It offers the same education opportunities that universities do for less. The main downfall is dealing with advisers because they never seem to be on the same page when you need them to be. It was definitely a good experience and helped me get my associates degree to then transfer to a university. This gives me the ability to further my education with a good base.

Dimly lit parking lots with faded crossing lines and parking spots at Warwick Campus. Several accidents per year in the lot. Only improvement in the past year was teachers/administration parking and crosswalks. Roof leaks at Warwick campus and elevators are in poor condition and make noises that frighten many students.

I felt that CCRI was a great school. I thought the professors were amazing, always willing to help, and went out of their way to help the students succeed. I previously attended URI and felt a huge difference in the quality of the professors, and would 100% recommend CCRI to anyone just out of high school, or looking to go back to school for more!

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The college is great if your not sure what you want to do with your life. I've juggled many majors before deciding on one and being led down the right path which is always catered around you and your schedule. The counselors are great and want you to succeed and do well and go on to better schools after CCRI.
