I am attending CCV as an early college student. It is part of our state's educational opportunities for high school students. I find CCV to be a wonderful place to complete my last year of high school. The classes are interesting and the professors are engaging.

Olivia

I think it's a great place to get your start and figure out where you're going. The class selection is broad and you can do just about anything after completing your associate's. There's room to grow for everyone and professors and staff at CCV will constantly encourage you to go further and do more.

Gabrielle

It is a good school for very reasonable pricing. The professors are caring and supportive. This school wants you to succeed! There aren't any dorms or house options because its a 2 degree school but you can transfer easily to other schools through this one and save money while working.

Kimberly

CCV in Brattleboro, VT does not offer campus living and does not have any dining facilities. The only nearby parking available costs a lot hourly, and the parking garage is not safe to go into at night alone. The school is very small and has limited classes available. The teachers do not have on-site offices and are not available for office hours. I found it difficult to discuss my concerns with the guidance counselor, and she was not accessible most of the time. I transferred out of this school as soon as I was able to.

Community College of Vermont FAQS

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Community College of Vermont is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back in time and speak to myself as a high school senior, I would tell myself a couple different things. First off, I would tell myself not to get so hung up on social life, and not to be so concerned with what everyone else was doing and thinking. I would tell myself to keep a good social support network, because it is quite evident that when social support goes down, immortality goes up. It is so important to have a strong social support group through the transition. I would tell myself to be easier on myself, and to love myself, no matter how inadequate I may feel about not fitting in. I would remind myself that peer pressure is extremely hard, but to stay strong through it, because once you have a strong sense of self worth, price, integrity and self love, there is nothing you cannot accomplish, and there is no greater feeling. I would tell myself to be strong, because the first year of college is no where NEAR the best year of my life. It only gets better from there, and I will only continue to keep getting stronger from then.

  3. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Before I attended CCV, I wish I had known how hard it would be to find a parking spot! We have the parking garage, but it is only open at night, and there is no place to park without getting charged a ton of money. I wish I would have kept more change on hand!
