Concordia University Texas is a great place to study and meet interesting people. Students work hard, class sizes are small, and the campus is on a beautiful nature preserve. Athletics collegiate and intramural are a big deal among students and there are many class outings. It's a great school for personalized learning and in a great Austin area.
Small classes allow you to really thrive and professors are always there to help if needed. The campus is clean and easy to get around. Moat people are friendly and you can make friends easily. Professors truly care about your wellbeing and grades if they see you struggling they pull you aside and ask questions. Tutors are available for all majors and you do not have to pay extra money for them! Concordia makes them readily available for all levels in majors. Some majors even have professional tutors.
Concordia University is a safe place to attend college if you are/aren't Lutheran, I personally was able to strengthen my relationship with God and create relationships with students and professors that I don't think can be achieved at a huge university. Professors really try and get to know all their students and are always available. The faculty is very helpful and even though we are a smaller university we have culture and getting involved or starting a new club is easy. There is something for everyone from mission trips to SGLA getting involved on campus and in your faith has made its mark at Concordia University - Texas. CTX is one of the rare universities in the U.S. that sits on a nature preserve, which allows us to appreciate and be surrounded by nature.
Love the safe feel. Teachers care and are available. Classes are challenging and prepare me for the real world. The campus is absolutely beautiful! Since the college is small, I have instant friends when I meet someone outside of the school and we discover we're both from CTX. I'm so glad I chose Concordia!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Concordia University-Texas is 83%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
You should apply for all of the scholarships. Not just a few, but every single one you can find. you'll end up needing them. Take your time and figure out what you want to do with your life, because you don't need to know it right at age 18. Know that some people will act nice, but actually want to stab you in the back. Also know that some people who look like they'd be the kind to stab you in the back can actually be very loyal and good friends, given the chance. Never accept a friend's offer to drink if that friend is from a small town of less than 100 people, and he or she will be buying all of your drinks. Because they'll think that wine should follow beer. And that's just wrong. Also, bet someone that we'll have an African American president before the end of the decade. Bet a lot of money and hope that by giving you this advice I hasn't changed the future. Now that I think about it, you probably shouldn't even gamble. It's illegal.
The worst thing about our school is that a lot of times some of our christian leaders give christians a bad name. They will be a little hypocritical and speak against the very things they do--but that is a struggle we all have! Another bad thing is that we don't have sororities, or fraternities.
The beauty of our campus. All the bulidings have been redone or just built last year since Concordia Texas was moved from its old location in central Austin, to a north Austin location. We are now on a wildlife preserve with beautiful scenery, especailly from the dorms. The dorms are wonderful! They were built last year and I was one of the first to live in them. With a microwave and minifrig in everyone as well as a private bathroom with a tub and shower for each room!
The closed minededness of the students, faculty and staff.
You should attend Concordia University at Austin if you aspire to live a life that will benefit those around you. We're a campus that revolves around loving others and being christian leaders. There are many non-christians at this school, that are not forced to "convert" and they are included in all the activities - we don't judge! We also help the homeless in various ways and encourage anyone to bring their passion to our school and we will get people involved! Also if you want teachers that will actually help you out and work with you, come here!
