What is the stereotype of students at Connecticut College? Is Connecticut College stereotype accurate?

The typical stereotype of a Connecticut College student is a wealthy, boarding school, conservative, trust fund baby. There are a couple kids like this but I would only classify a third of the students as preppy. It still seems to be a majority however, at least socially. The other two thirds are stoners, athletes, nerds, hipsters, international students and various combinations of all the stereotypes mentioned.

Connecticut College is rumored to be full of being wearing J. Crew, Vineyard Vines, Sperrys and Jack Rogers sandals. While this is true of about 60{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the school's population, there are also many people who deviate from the traditional preppy look, opting for less expensive fashion in favor of practicality.
