Converse has been really accepting of me and others in the same situation. There's not a lot of males there but it is slowly growing in number and in programs that are just for the boys since it was originally an all girls school until a couple years ago.
Too many sports teams, not enough money. Stupid convocation rules, but empowering women's school that makes sure you are involved. I think Converse has a lot of good qualities such as the small class sizes that provide ample opportunity for individualized attention, but converse also has a lot of downsides such as the lack of funding for decent food on campus/ lack of food options that are desired or needed due to nutritional needs. The food unfortunately gets worse each year it seems and the incoming students less respectful than the last. If you are a focused and dedicated liberal arts or science major, then Converse is the school for you. If you are not willing to put in extra effort and be extremely respectful to the people around you (who are all super nice and helpful by the way) I would not suggest applying.
My overall opinion of Converse College is positive. The college has given me the opportunity to become a leader in several organizations on campus. I have been able to express my concerns openly and honestly to the faculty and administration. The diverse student body has exposed me to new ideas and experiences. The professors are very knowledgeable in their field of study and available to students. The positives outweigh the negatives but, there are some big negatives. The first being the dining options are limited and not very delectable unless, its fried chicken day. Secondly, the parking is insufficient. Overall, I believe Converse College was the correct choice for furthering my educational endeavors.
Converse College is much more than I ever expected it would be. When I first went on tour, I fell in love instantly with it's home-like atmosphere, and I registered as soon as I could. Since becoming a student, I have become a Student Ambassador with admissions to be a part of helping more students realize how amazing the college is.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Converse College is 60%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Honesty and integrity are the two most important things you can have in life. You did not cheat, you did not copy others work. You always did your own work honestly. The good work ethic that you have set yourself is going to make college life much easier for you. You know the educational route you want to go. Become the successful person you know you can be. Use compassion to help others and use the educational opportunities to make you the best psychologist that you can be. Push yourself to grow and be proud of your accomplishments. Most of all, be true to yourself, always keep your integrity and honesty and you will do fine.
Converse College is a Women's College that offers the best in education in the South.
The worst thing about Converse College is how the campus floods and gets extremely muddy whenever it rains. Rainboots are a must at Converse!
My school is best known for its high academic standards and beautiful campus. Converse gives a challenging academic standard which prepares a person for higher education like Graduate school . It also gives a beautiful surrounding and amazing people that help a person prosper and gain life skills.
Converse is full of people who are ready and willing to help you. With a school full of girls you can and would expect a lot of drama but there's not really of fighting or arguing. Going to Converse means being part of a close-knit community. And the fact that there are so many other colleges in Spartanburg means there's ample opportunity to network and meat other college students.
Someone who wants to excel in life and be heard. Someone who values friendships, and likes living in a community where you know everyone and everyone knows you. A person who likes to learn and has questions.
The best thing about it is the size. There are not an owerwhelming number of students in your classroom. Plus, you get to know almost everyone on campus. Another good thing is that the professors here are very personable. You can go up and ask questions or get help without being afraid.
I wish I had known there were schools with Community Organizing programs. I would love to study that but I love my school and wouldn't trade it for the world.
Converse College is a very diverse school, so anyone can fit right in to our small, women's college. However, because Converse is academically challenging, I think that a student who wants to party all of the time and participate in greek life, would not belong at Converse.
Just the fact that I attend Covnerse College seems to be enough to brag about. They have a great reputation plus a lot of people wonder how is it at an all girl school.
That's easy- There were no undergraduate males at the school! :)
Converse's Class of 2006 was made up of various groups of friends, unique individuals, diverse backgrounds, well-off and scholarship kids, who despite our difference could come together to work on a common goal and still remember each other years later no matter how different a path life took us then or now.
