Many students at Cooper are from NY/NJ, with some international students as well. The engineering school generally attracts nerds, many of whom are nervous or unable to interact with classmates. This was weird for me. I would describe myself as ougoing and friendly, and have very often felt like an outcast in my school because of this. The other kids who desribe themselves as social play ping pong and pool all day. To me, this isn't a very social activitiy. Many students spend their entire four years in the library. It's a popular Saturday night activity. In the hallways, you typically hear students talking about the last exam or the next one- not about politics or parties.
