Describe a day on campus you'll never forget.

Hmm... one of the special moments on campus that I'll never forget happened not that long ago. I had taken a preliminary exam for one of my economics classes, and I wasn't feeling too great about how I performed on the test. I was walking back home with my head down... and when I looked up to gaze down the Slope towards Cornell's West Campus, the beauty of the buildings and the landscape behind them with the sun starting to set... only at Cornell can we enjoy such mesmerizing scenes.

I have not been here for too long, but one day I will never forget is my first Homecoming day. All the week leading up to the Homecoming football game, we were getting excited about the weekend, having giveaways, and preparing everything for Saturday. We got free t-shirts and a ton of free Cornell spirit items. On Saturday before the game, it is a tradition for the new students to rush the field, so we formed a giant mosh pit on the field as everyone stormed into the stadium. After we won the football game, we all moved over to giant indoor gym, where rapper B.o.B was putting on a Homecoming Concert. He had an amazing show, and it set the scene for the rest of the night.

I'm on both the Concert Commission and the Program Board. Both organization's worked to bring Billy Joel to campus to a select audience. I got to work the show, and sit practically on the stage the whole time (and it was an awesome show). It was the last day of classes, and I only had one, so I woke up late, walked around campus a bit, went to class, ate with friends at the Ivy Room, went to work, and then got to be part of the Billy Joel Show. Plus my house threw a party that night, so when I got home, I came right into that. That was last weekend.

Slope Day, which is held on the last Friday of classes during Spring semester, is a great day. Cornell brings in performers (Drake and Nelly the last two years) and students have a great time relaxing and celebrating the end of a (hopefully) successful school year.
