Where is the best place to get work done on campus?

Jordan

There are many places you can go if you need to work outside of your room to focus. Many students go to Olin or Uris libraries, but if you are looking for a more relaxed place to study with your friends, Duffield Hall (in the Engineering Quad) is the place to go! There are quite a few more places I go to study (more secluded and quiet).

There are tons of libraries, cafes, quads, and buildings with areas conducive to studying. Some of my favorite spots are: - in the Physical Sciences building, right next to Baker Lab. Super comfy seats and Goldie's has delicious coffee and sandwiches. - in A. D. White Library, also known as the Harry Potter library. It's beautiful. - in Duffield Hall. It's giant and airy and there are random chairs everywhere. - in the Cocktail Lounge. This is a lounge area sort of set into Libe Slope. It's part of Uris Library, and they have these super comfortable chairs you can put together and make into a bed. Lots of naps at the Cocktail Lounge. - at the Green Dragon. This is a cool little cafe located under an architecture building. It has a cool vibe, big tables, and delicious smelling coffee, so it's one of my favorite spots. Overall, if you need to get work done, you'll probably go to a library. I usually go to libraries in those awkward hours between class, or after class if I have to do a paper or buckle down on something. Usually I study in the study lounge of my dorm, but people in there with you can get very distracting very quickly.

The libraries are a popular place to work. They have both dead silent study areas and collaborative rooms that great for group discussions. There are many other places on campus that students work as well. The dorm lounges are popular, but Duffield Atrium is my personal favorite.
