Covenant College Top Questions

Describe your favorite campus traditions.

Were Covenant College stripped of its prestigious academic reputation, its aesthetic beauty, its educational value, and left naked as a mere community, it would remain a place of peace and love. It is a community first and foremost. I had no intention of attending Covenant until I visiting senior year of high school and met the most caring, friendly people on earth. It is as close to utopia as one can get. I revel in the power of Covenant College's community.

Covenant College is best known for it's location, community, and academic programs. Covenant's community and student relationships are unique and bring so much life to campus. Covenant is also located on top of Lookout Mountain in GA and students can see 7 states on a clear day. The academic programs at Covenant are incredible and the professors strive to create personal relationships with their students as well as help them academically.

Being the "castle in the clouds". It's so beautiful up on top of the mountain and it's an incredible place to look at God's creation of nature.

Our community and how we have an open and engaged dialogue between students, faculty, staff, etc. Residence life here is amazing and ideas are a big deal. I feel that our community is known for being artsy, individual, unique, caring, and invested. The fact that we can share in conversation with staff and faculty is a huge prize of going here.

Bethany

I believe my school is best known for being the "Castle in the clouds." However, those who are vaugely familar with it know it as a academically rigorous institition that strives to not only have Christ be preimenant in all all things at the college, but to help us, the college's students, to know what that looks like in our everyday lives.

Emma

My school is known for its PCA teachings, its friendly environment, its small teacher/student ratio, its good academic programs, and its beautiful campus. The teachers/staff are very helpful and the students are very close. The students love having fun, but are serious about their education. The school doesn't put up with rule breaking, but seeks to give students good standards to follow. Though the population isn't diverse the school welcomes diversity, and teaches students with a broader picture, while maintaining Christian principles.

Faith

Besides great academics, hard-working students, and amazing professors - I think we are best known for our community on campus and the influence that we have off campus throughout Chattanooga.

Our school is most known for our affiliation with the PCA, our Community Development Dept.,our Education Dept., and our challenging academics . Our affilition with the PCA sets us apart from other schools because it defines who we are. Our Comm. Dev. Dept. definitely is faith based so the communities that are affected gain something extra. Our Education Dept. is just known for being complicated and extensive. Our academics in general are complicated though.

Timothy

A Family. It?s no surprise that, after coming to Covenant, our students say they left one home to find another. With a close-knit group of students, at Covenant you will be a valued member of our campus family where faith is celebrated and support is around every corner. A Challenge. We encourage a comprehensive approach to learning. Your education is never limited to classrooms and labs. Our students gain knowledge and sharpen their intellects everywhere?across campus and around the world.

It used to be an old hotel in the 20s called Castle in the Clouds and there are still old tunnels from the prohibition era where they would smuggle alcohol up the mountain. The school is on the highest point of Lookout Mountain and has an absolutely stunning view. So overall, it's best known for its location.
