It's a really good community college that offers a good college experience.
Crafton Hills is a beautiful school where you can get your GE classes done before transferring. You get pretty small classes to where your professors can actually remember your name and answer any questions you have. If I could go to any community college again, I would 100% choose Crafton all over again.
Crafton Hills is a beautiful campus with beautiful people. Buildings are always full of students and faculty sharing stories and reminiscing. My favorite building resembles an Aztec design through its stone, temple-like staircase embedded with vines and antiquity. It’s peaceful spot to observe and become inspired. My school is built on a paradise hill and it is a wonderful and empowering place to be. I found myself here, surrounded by the mountains and trees and everything I love in nature.
They have some good people who work their but the educational loops that are needed to navigate the system are too much. They have modern buildings that gorgeous and I think they will be renovating the other half of the school in the upcoming years. The parking is good for the amount of cars that are their, only time I wasn't able to find a spot was when I was already late for classes.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Crafton Hills College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
The very first thing I would tell myself, would be a list teachers. Directing myself who and whom not to take. Second, I would heed warning about the construction that takes place, as well as the dreadful parking situation. In addition I would give myself hints as to what certain professors are looking for, to aid my success and perhaps decrease the stress level. Lastly, I would tell myself to simply follow my mind. I have no regrets concerning my college life up till now, so I would want myself to do exactly what I would normally do. Everything happens for a reason, so I wouldn't want to chance altering my path, but just trying to avoid a few bumps in the road.
The most frustrating thing about Crafton is the lack of listening to the students and facilty from the administration. There have been many times that things have been put to vote, voted against, and the administration did it anyways. That does not help unite the students and faculty, and it makes us feel like we can't make a difference.
The kind of person who shouldn't attend to Crafton Hills College, is the kind of student who just wants to go there just becuse they are forced to, or just becuase it's something to do. College, Rather it's a Community College or not, should be treated respectfully. Whereas, The students that are already there, want to be there to get a higher education. Yes, most people are there just for pre-req's, but they are there so they can end up transferring to a USC or some other college.
This as mostly an affordable college for those in pursuit of vocational careers or general education prerequisites.
Crafton Hills College is unique in its location, its professors, and its clubs. The location is close to my home, and that is very important to me, since driving can be expensive. Also, every professor I have had has an extensive knowledge of the subject, and they offer great resources if you want to learn more. Finally, the clubs help strenghen our social relationships with our peers, and the Psychology club helps us students present research at academic conferences.
I usually tell my friends how easy my teachers are and how much I learn from them. The teachers here is great, not too much work but u are guaranteed to learn everything you're supposed to.
Super chill, and ready to work, everyone is really relaxed and willing to help each other.
The best part about Crafton is that the campus and classroom sizes are smalle enough for the teachers to truly teach the students. If a student has a question he or she is able to approach the teacher, and the teacher will not only know the students name (most of the time), but also have the time and desire to help.
The worse thing about Crafton Hills College, is that there are people there, who really don't want to be there. They do not take the classes seriously, nor do they take the time to do the work. They treat it like it's nothing more than the 'thirteenth grade', just another year after high school. Another thing i do not like about Crafton Hills: Is that the class rooms caps, is a high number. I like the idea of having smaller classes, which equal more one-on-one time with the students.
