Cuesta has one of the best Nursing Programs in the state.
Cuesta College is known for numerous different attributes, from the athletics department to the faculty and staff?s encouragement to see all succeeded in our individual aspirations. However, the number one thing, Cuesta is known for is for the correlations with Cal Poly. Cuesta?s acceptance rates to Cal Poly are the highest in California. More students are sent to Cal Poly from Cuesta, then any other Junior College. Not to mention, Cuesta has more comprehensive course articulation with Cal Poly than most other community colleges, thanks to the counselors who stay informed about the admission process for Cal Poly.
It has the best grade retention of any community college in the state, and has the best transfer rate to Cal Poly and many other UCs and CSUs. I chose this school due to its great location in the Central Coast and its proximity to Cal Poly and got the chance to talk to proffesors who worked at Poly and Cuesta.
