My school is the second best culinary school in the nation. They have hands on training; and allow you to travel to other contries to study.
How nice the campus is and how great our professors are.
Because we are in kitchen classes, I brag about some of the food that is made in the kitchens. I am a baking and pastry student so I make a lot of desserts and take pictures. I often showoff what I have made such as plated desserts, cakes, chocolates, and more. My favorite thing to show off are any display like items that I made in class.
I tell my friends that my school is the Best Culinary school in the Country!
All of the chefs here at school are extremely helpful and have a great number of credentials; they really know what they are doing. I also tell about how beautiful the campus is and how friendly most people are. There are also many activities to participate in on campus!
I often say that The CIA is the Vatican city for Culinary Arts. It has a beautiful, green and eco-friendly campus. It has a beautiful location and a topographic view of the river Hudson. The hospitality provided by faculty and students to the freshmen is outstanding. The food experience is a complete Theobroma and I feel that I am living amongst gourmets. I live, think, talk and dream on foods. The college stands for its reputation and gives 1000 births every year to the food leaders of tomorrow. I will try my best to be one of them.
The amount of amazing resources at this school is unbelievable! The education that you are getting is from the best chef's in the world and they are willing to help you learn more about culinary arts. The school also offers distinct programs to help students to tap into the school's resource from finding an externship to finding a job after you graduate!
Whenver I talk to my friends about school, the first thing I am able to brag about is the food! The students at the CIA have the greatest meal program in the world! I also love talking to them about all of the new dishes I can cook for them the next time I see them ( and they love it when I finally get the chance)! The location of the campus is absolutely stunning, being right on the Hudson River. The celebrity chefs that come to speak and demo for the students is also a major topic in our conversations.
We get to eat great food such as good quality steak and fish for all meals. I don't have alot of papers to write and just get to bake all day for class.
I brag that i go to the best school in the world.
I always brag about the meal plan at school. It isn't like your ordinary college where you swipe for breakfast, lunch or dinner and have an endless buffet of food; that is how the infamous "Freshman 15" came into play. At my school, we get to choose from 20 plus kitchens to eat our meals at. When we swipe we choose from a menu of on average 5 dishes and we get one restaurant status plate. I love eating at my school; we get free salad, dessert and bread. We also get free laundry and have an amazing gym.
Every class I had the opportunity to sit-in on was so intense and I loved every minute of it. The Culinary Institute of America is one of the most known and recognized culinary schools in the country. The CIA offers one of the highest job placement records, and there are so many connections to be made here and chances to be had. It is the most exciting adventure that I'm about to embark upon, with people that share the same obsession as me: FOOD!
Although I have yet to start, the prestige behind the name is impressive and it goes a long way in helping people get over the perceived hump of vocational educations and careers.
The things I brag about to my friends are a grocery list long just a few are, meeting Anthony Bourdain after class one day just walking around campus and getting my chef hat signed by him next to his late 60?s sky blue Lincoln (nice classic boat!!!), baking recipes invented by Jackie-O?s personal pastry Chef, but the sickest thing I brag about is Chef Chang. Chef Chang does a demo on You Tube of her butchering a whole chicken in 12 seconds, she butchered five whole chickens in less than one minute with a cleaver in class.
The Culinary Institute of America is so much fun. In your classes your allowed hands on 70% of the time and your not judge if you're unfamiliar with the product. The teachers take there time to help you and you'll never starve.
We have a beautiful campus, We are known world-wide as the best culinary school. I brag about the great food that we eat for breakfast lunch and dinner. We also have great staff and an awesome recreational center
There are a few things I like to tell my friends about my school. One is the "cafeteria food." At The Culinary Institute of America, the students make the food. I love that system; its a learning experience for both those cooking/baking and those eating. I also like to tell them about externship and our wine trip. I externed in California, which I absolutely loved. When I get into the Bachelors Program, I will get to travel to Spain, Italy or California for a wine seminar.
Its the best in the world for my career. I will be a graduate with my bachelors degree in just over 3 years total.
