CUNY Brooklyn College Top Questions

What kind of person should attend this school?

Danielle

Basically, anyone with a strong character can thrive here. The person that should attend Brooklyn College is someone either already has or wants to learn to accept diversity. The student attending should also be someone who wants a real picture of the world, and is willing to work. It's very much the type of school where you get as much as you put in out of the experience, and so many different communities and opinions in one place can make for a bit of a head trip if you are not ready.

This is one of the very few colleges in NYC that actually gives students some semblance of college life. If you want the resources of living in a city with a "real" campus, this is a good pick. BC prides itself, like most schools today, on its students' diverse foundations. However, BC requires its students to branch out much farther than other colleges I've heard about. I'm taking a Mythology course, Film Production, Art History, and French 2 this semester, and I can't graduate without them. Students looking for a wide grounding will do well here.

Anup

People who are interested in liberal arts as well as science. People who prefer smaller schools and classrooms would also attend this school.
