What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

This school gives one not only a learning experience but also experience of living and breathing in the city. A truly amazing experience. A very good school to go to if you are up for it.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Each college is different. You (the parent and most importantly the student) needs to go to the campus and "feel" for the college. Check out the ups and and downs of the college. Look at the programs, and not just the programs that you (the student) wants to be in the future, but the all the courses in general -- because you can always change your major while you're there. Talking to other students, especially the freshmen and seniors of the school. Get pros and cons of the school. And always look at the job offers that the school will help you after graduation. And do not forget, that college should be fun,

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

The different kinds of people that I have met through out the years that I was there. You never know who's going to be your new friend, and you'll never know how they may help you in the long run.

What kind of person should attend this school?

Someone who likes the busy, city life. Though the school may seem fast-paced, there will be people who are willing to help you and help you open your network. This new network will even help you in classes in the future. They should be also be open minded in what they doing and try out the different club/groups that the school has to offer.

It is best known for its highly competitive nursing program, and it's creative writing program.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Visit the college and make sure that it is right for you. If your child wants to go somewhere, don't rule it out because it is out of your comfort zone. If he or she visits and doesn't think it's the right choice, that is his or her decision. Remember that it isn't up to you, it's up to your child.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Although money is a big issue, if education is important to you and your family, let your child go somewhere where you know they will be comfortable, satisfied and independent so that they can feel free ot develop themselves as they should.

What kind of person should attend this school?

Someone who likes to be in the city, doesn't mind not having having a real campus and is open minded. I think also they should be prepared to do a lot of things on their own.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

Hunter College is very "student oriented". The professors treat us like their own children, the staff are very eager to see us succeed, and the fellow peers are never quick to give up on their classmates. It is a world all its own, and I am proud to be part of it.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would want any HS Grad to know that the choice is yours...and the money is not an option if you do well, because the free money out there is available to any student willing to work hard.
