I really enjoy the school, there are lots of fun and energetic people all over campus and it makes it much easier to interact and ask people for help if I am lost. The people at the student store and book store are always helpful and nice. I am on the cross country/ track team and that really helped me meet new and fun people that are very welcoming. I encourage all to join a group on any campus!
Cuyamaca College is a beautiful college with great professors, staff and helpers. Majority of the students that attend this college are put together and have a goal that they are trying to achieve. By the looks of it, you can tell everyone is driven and are all here for a reason. Not to mention, I haven’t been given a reason to dislike this college. Classes are simple, easy, accessible and there are always educated staff or counselors available whenever we need. If you're thinking of attending Cuyamaca, I definitely recommend it.
I love this school. The teachers are great.
Cuyamaca College is an unmatched school. The facilities are clean, up-to-date, and well-kept. The campus is beautifully designed and landscaped. The students are diverse and this makes for an enriching experience all around. Every professor I have had have been helpful and knowledgeable. There is an abundance of help available for students, from the counselors to tutors. I have had a wonderful time at this school. It is far superior to its sister college, Grossmont College, which I have also attended.

I would tell myself to be prepared, and take time to have time. Don't rush things, or procrastinate. If you take the time to follow through and put one hundred percent into each assignment, then you'll have no problems. Taking notes will probably save you more than reading the textbooks, plus they give you something to put your mind to instead of falling asleep during lectures.
Any person that is unsure about their skills, or their time, or finances should consider it. Cuyamaca has a nice campus with newer facilities, yet not many students. It is easy to navigate, so anyone uncomfortable with a larger campus would be quite satisfied
Everyone is really friendly and alway trying to help each other whenever they can.
I love the campus. Many of the buildings are brand new and are stunning. They also have a huge lawn that provides a little escape from the stress of school. The teachers are really great and understanding about how hard everything is on everybody right now.
Our school is best known for it's ability to call any and all drug abusing, alcohol abusing students. For some reason students even find it okay to smoke in the parking lot. Most people look at our univeristy as a failure, and it's really frustrating for those of us that want to succeed.
Although it is a community college I feel that I am getting a much more personal experience than when I attended a large University. I have visited numerous campuses since middle school and this is the only one that I felt truly comfortable on. In my intro to college course the teacher really re-inspired me to step up and step out. At the university I attended I never felt the spark to attend. At Cuyamaca I am excited about learning every day!

I wish that I had known that there will be people who do not always agree with you, but that still support you academically. That I would make some friends that I can get along with wonderfully, but still disagree with. That college is not as difficult as it is made out to be, as long as one can apply themselves to their studies.
Due to the budget crisis, the worst thing about my school would be that they are letting go of councilors and summer semester may not continue this year.
Cuyamaca's campus is gorgeous. It is such a beautiful nook in Rancho San Diego. Every teacher I have had has been attentive and caring. They have passionate administration that really want each and every student to be successful. It is growing fast and has numerous brand new buildings and many still in the making to keep the students up to date and comfortable. It is a great place to learn and grow.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
