Daemen College Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Molly

I don't find any one thing particularly frustrating about my school. The one thing that I can think of is the web connection at Daemen College is sometimes very slow espically in the campus dorms and apartments. This web connection can be frustrating especially when it's time to register for classes and Webadvisor is not loading properly.

Thomas

parking is terrible and the limit of computers and none of the buildings are connected

Brett

Slow social life on the weekends, depending on if there is anything big occuring on campus. I think this could be due partly to the small enrollment at the college too.

The single most frustrating thing at Daemen College is the price of tuition and living costs that arise with attendence of the institution. Understandably, a private college means higher cost of school, but to require its students to live by a 19 meal a week plan which costs a considerable amount more than, say a 10 meal a week plan, is simply insane. Finding the means to afford such an amazing school is incredibly difficult.

It wastes money

The teachers expect way to much from the students and don't act like they have jobs. They think the students only go to school and should drop their jobs for the school.

Being such a small school there are class that are only offered only one time slot; for people that have to work outside of campus or for people that live off campus can cause an issue. Another issue would be only having one professor for a selected class. This can be a problem because if you have had the professor before you may have had problems or do not like the teaching ethic he or she may have. However, these are minor problems compared to all the amazing things that Daemen has to offer and I truly love my school.

The most frustrating thing about Daemen College is how nobody has any answers to any questions. The offices all direct you to other offices and no one knows anything

Currently at Daemen College there are building a new Green Library. This is a great addition to the school, but until this project is finished there really is not a place for students to hang out and study. There are two main lounges, one in the middle of Duns Scotus where people are constantly walking through and making noise. The other lounge which is in the business building is on the other side of campus and is really inconvenient for an Art student like me. Another main issue is the lack of parking on campus for commuter students.

Sara

It is very expensive. For someone living in my income level it is somewhat hard to figure out how to pay for school.
