The professors will get to know you on a first name basis, it's a small walk across campus, the audio studio is fantastic, and the faculty are friendly and you could have a personal conversation with the President of the school and he would listen to you. The community is truly what makes this university special.

DSU is one of the best schools in the nation for anyone majoring in any sort of computer science. We've got some of the best programs, , we supposedly have an amazing download rate of 90mb/s, and in my opinion, some of the best professors. Even despite their computer focus, their other departments are structured very well. Students of any major can easily find a place to learn and live during their time on campus.

DSU has an excellent computer science program if you are looking into that field. We are also a technology friendly school.

What I brag about most is the fact that we are very technologically advanced. We have finger scanners to enter some classrooms and everything is done on the computer here, you dont need pen or pencil for classes.

When I talk about my school to my friends back at home, I always mention the people that are in the area. I am originally a big city, so school and living in a town with 8000 people is a little bit of a culture shock, but the people in the area are very inviting and welcoming to strangers.

I explain to them that DSU has an excellent computer science/technology department of staff that are more than a lot of fun and have had quite a history of experience with what they are teaching. Also, that they are willing to give you the time and effort to figure something out and I mean REALLY figure something out. They don't like you walking away confused.

I b r a g a b o u t my s c h o o l a n d my major. I know I enrolled in a good t e c h n o l o g i cal s c hool and it is one of the top schools across the midwest. So, I pride my self in that. The school is very prestigious. I love my school. However, with the help of this schloarship I will fullfill my degree program and be somebody in life. I will have the statues I need to be respected in life.

The school I attend is a well sized school. The classroom sizes are perfect for lecturing but still small enough for one-on-one attention. Many of the professors get to know their students on a personal level. Dakota State has many activities and clubs a student can be involved in outside of the classroom. There are many different interests at this school and the activities and clubs fit those interests. The types of students that attend Dakota State are diverse, so making friends is easy.

We have a great gaming community. Dakota State University is the only university in South Dakota that offers the Computer Game Design major. The instructors are great, and you will have a lot of fun learning how to create games and work in the game industry. There are gaming clubs that help to bring students together and give us different perspectives on games, so that you don't just play the same game day after day, but instead you are introduced to new games and genres of games that will help with your future carreer.

It is awesome and I have met so many neat people.

The amount of technology incorporated into all the subject areas.

I brag to my friends about our small class sizes with professors knowing their student's names and personalities. We have a small close nit campus and community. I also brag about the availibility of professors with open door policies. The president of my school is also availible and willing to see and speak with students whenever an issue arises and he truely cares and does what he can to get the problem solved.

The tablet laptops the school gives us and how I can get Internet access anywhere on campus.

I probably tell them about the technology most. I tell them about some of the cool classes I've taken or some of the programs I get to use.

I love the way that the technology helps to keep the teaqchers and the students connected to eachother. There is a real atmosphere for learning.
