Josh, You are a senior now, about to embark on your life?s journey. Right now you are unsure about what you want to do in life. I know it seems easy to just stay home and attend one of the local community colleges, but let me warn you. If you do that you will not have the discipline to attain your associates in two years. You will focus more on women, work and fun. You will end up spending too much time in community college, waste money, and get disappointed by women. Then before you know it, you will be in your sixth year of college, with out an associate degree, working full-time at a job you do not enjoy while being a young father. Now I know you dream of being a father, but wait until you are done with college and have a career that you will enjoy. I suggest you immediately apply for Dallas Christian College. This college will change your life. Hold on to your integrity and values and do not worry about finding love. That will come in due time. Focus on God, your life and your education. Good luck.
The staff and faculty at DCC are passionate about helping the students. We are not just "numbers" or headcount. This shows itself in how they treat us during class, after class, their availability to talk about schoolwork, life, and any other topic that comes up. They all strive to take on mentorship roles with us to see that our entire life, not just our career, is fulfilled and abundant.
The worst thing about my school is its location. It is located in a business section of north Dallas near major interstates where there is much traffic. It is also kinda hard to find the first time around since it is a smaller college and does not have big signs pointing the way. It is also limited to its space for growth. Also, due to being near Dallas, there are many distractions.
There are a lot of great professors and students at this college. You can go to anyone and they are more than willing to listen and talk with you no matter the issue. You always feel wanted. This is a great small college in a huge city there there are plenty of things to do. I came to DCC from a small country town in Missouri and I would do it again if I had the chance!
How interested I am in the classes I have and how well I do on my grades.
They are friendly and upbeat about religion.
For its ability to develop leaders based on the Word of God
Someone wanting a closer relationship with God as well as further their education.
The most frustrating thing about my school is I don't have one. I recieved my BS degree in December of 1996 and now I am a 35 year old man extremly frustrated trying to find the right program at the right school. There are so many programs and schools that are available that it feels imposible to narrow them down. Then I have to figure out how to afford it with out limiting my opportunties and finish a program that ends up giving me a degree or certificate that says more than juct class of October.
I really cannot think of anything off the top of my head that surprised me in a negative way. The school has been all I had hoped for and more.
The faculty and staff at Dallas Christian College invest in the lives of their students for both scholarly success and their students personal spiritual growth.
DCC provides opportunities for ministers and individuals seeking a career in ministry and/or leadership. DCC provides an excellent opportunity to individuals such as me to do all their class work online in conjunction with full-time family and work schedule. Their professors and interactive staff are great and knowledgeable.
