Attending Daniel Webster College can, in many ways, be compared to being a part of a large family where everyone cares about you and your well-being. Late to class? Someone will go wake you up to make sure you don't miss a big test. Need help on your Calculus homework? There will be a crew working late in the Math and Science Center to help you out. Not sure about your term paper? Just head over to the Writing Center for a peer review. But more than just having your back academically, the Daniel Webster College family is there for you through everything. In the dining hall, or walking the 50 feet to class, there will always be a familiar face inviting you to sit or walk with them. On this small campus, you are hard pressed to find a person you don't at least recognize and more likely know by name. This goes for professors as well. You will more often than not be in a class of less than 15 students and get one on one time with your professors. They probably hold you more accountable for not showing up to class, but they definitely care more about you than the professor and University of Lecture Hall that only knows you as the student with the messiest handwriting. You will be known, you will be heard, and you will be welcomed by all. And by graduation, you'll be hugging the dean, begging to stay for one more year.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

The first advice I would give to myself if I was to go back in time would be to get involved. Going to college mainly starts a whole new life and includes a fresh start. Throughout high school, you would seem the same friends, coaches, and teachers every day. After high school and moving onto college, there will be so many new faces around you that have no idea who you are or what your personality is. If you were shy and not involved in high school, there is always time to change your personality if you don't want to be shy anymore. Especially at college there are so many different ways to get involved to make new friends and hopefully open you up to new activites and a new you.
