Davidson is a really great place where you can explore a lot of different options, make a lot of very good friends and enjoy your four years in undergrad!

PS Student-Run Restaurant is a wholly student-run catering club that hosts events once a month on campus. They cook food from all over the world and get to use an industrial kitchen to do their work. Come to Davidson and join if you like to cook think you might like to learn!

I love Davidson. The trustees are amazing because they paid for a ticket and housing for any student who wanted to watch Davidson in Detroit for the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight basketball games. The campus is picturesque. People are always sitting outside on the lawn. The academics are difficult, but because of all of the papers, tests, and homework, I'm going to leave Davidson as an educated and cultured person.

The weather is really nice. Fall semester the week before exams it was so nice everyone was out doing work on the lawn - in December! I really believe the nice weather has improved my quality of life. Because of the nice weather I can be outside so much more and I never freeze walking to class :)

Coming to Davidson was probably the best college choice I could have made.

People make a big deal about the laundry service. It is not that big a deal.

Going to Davidson was the best decision of my life. Period. It was well worth the high tuition -- I have learned so much and I'll be so sad to leave. I could have paid the same amount to attend an Ivy League school and go to huge classes taught by grad students. Instead, I found small classes taught by professors who really seek to engage with their students. I absolutely love this place. It's not for everyone -- if you want an urban environment, go elsewhere -- but if you like to read and think about big ideas, have an active social life, and meet some of the best professors in the country - it's definitely the place for you.

Drugs are not big at Davidson. Alcohol is what most students partake in, although some choose to use marijuana (though not very many). The police are very cool about alcohol. They understand we are in college and are going to have our fun, so unless you are obnoxious they won't write you up. Drugs are another story...there's pretty much no tolerance for them.

Davidson is hard. You will study a lot.

A lot of Davidson students are socially awkward/nerdy, which comes from an incredibly sheltered upbrining, but going to Davidson doesn't help then come out of their weird ass bubbles at all. I really don't like your average Davidson student, they're just weird adn awkward.

Yes, Davidson isn't the most diverse place on earth. But you know what you are getting. Southern, traditional, conservative school. There are no secrets about Davidson. You get what you pick.
