Some stereotypes are that we are type-A, overachievers, and that we work all the time.

We are all white and wealthy

We're definitely a bunch of over achievers, but for the most part we party just as hard as we work. Davidson students are also chronically over-committed. On a different note, some people label the students as a bunch of rich, white kids.

Davidson is a rigorous academic environment and students are serious about their studies.

Davidson students are always busy. They have intense academic lives, tons of extracurricular activities, and occasionally some semblance of a social life.

The only negative stereotypes I've heard involve socioeconomic status - because of the cost of Davidson people sometimes assume that all students are upperclass, spoiled and entitled (and don't know how to do their own laundry).

People think that we study all the time and that we never have any fun. It is assumed that there is virtually no party scene and nothing for us to do but spend time in the library, buried under stacks of books.

Our religious offiliation is taken seriously, we are all rich and spoiled, we are all preppy, we all went to private schools.

When I tell people I go to Davidson the common response is: "wow that's a really hard school, you must be really smart." So I would say there is an overall stereotype that Davidson students are nerdy, work really hard, and don't know how to hang out.

People stereotype davidson students as nerds who study all the time and who don't have fun. There are also stereotypes within Davidson, especially for the people in each eating house and in the Fraternities.

I don't know of many because not a lot of people have heard about Davidson at all. For those who have heard of it, they may believe that the students are pretentious.
