Delaware Valley University Top Questions

If you aren't completely dedicated to themajor here I would strongly advise against going here. Do not come here if you are looking for a party school or if you are just coming here to play a sport, you will most likely hate it here and transfer, drop out, or just fail out. It is a difficult school that is not for everybody.

I do not believe that there is a "type" of person that should not attend this school. I do have to say that when looking at schools it is important to note whether or not you want to attend a school in a big city or with thousands of students. If that is what you are looking for, then DelVal is not the place for you because it is small and located in a small town.

The type of person that should not attend Delaware Valley College would be one that doesn't care about their school. Everyone here does something to make this college better. We have a day set aside for cleaning up our campus which is called Pride and Polish. We take pride in our land and buildings and hope future students will too. Other than that, any type of person can come to study here. You do not have to like farming or animals to major in English or criminal justice. We have amazing programs that fit everyone's needs.

Someone looking for a big school or something in an urban setting. We are close to Philadelphia, but the immediate Bucks County is somewhat rural. Also someone who dislikes the smell of animals!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe that a person who is more interested in their social life (partying) than their academic career should think twice about attending this school. Delaware Valley is very academic-oriented, so it is extremely easy to fall behind. Students are usually able to have a comfortable social life, but if you get too crazy it's very easy to see a nice drop in your GPA - the classes can get tough, especially in the science-related majors.
